Though Memphis's success over the last 4 years has helped, Pastner is a good recruiter.

I noticed that on ESPN Selby no longer has TN on his list of schools considering. So if we land Releford instead of Joe Jackson how much worse off are we?

That's true, but he's never been a head coach, and as another poster said, that program now has very high expectations.

This year will be a learning experience but with 3 potential McD's AA in his backcourt next year (2010), he will have plenty of talent to work with.

If we got this Jackson, it would make up for Selby. Jackson is the more pure PG, which we direly need, between the two and the kid is as clutch as they come from all reports.

With the game on the line and Memphis down three with three seconds on the clock, Jackson took the ball the ¾ of the court and pulled up for a three-pointer to force overtime. When the Magic needed a bucket, Jackson took care of it and he made it look easy. Once again the Magic secured a victory in overtime.

This was just one game. He almost single handily won prior games. I'd take him, Tobias Harris, and Tarik Black or Tobias Harris and call it a day.

JJ is not leaving the city of Memphis. And it is looking like the same might go for Tarik.

Memphis has their in-home visit tonight. Not sure about his visit to UT but there are some sources (such as Gary Parrish) saying that he will be giving his verbal to Memphis this Friday or early next week.

I don't think anyone who has looked at this recruitment with an objective eye is remotely surprised at how it's playing out.

No doubt. The Memphis 2010 class is great with just the 3 (if JJ commits) they have now, let alone if they get one or more of the others that are in with.
