Joe Milton is the most talented QB in America

You can tell how obvious his potential is, because he creates nuclear levels of hype, and yet comes off as the most humble, team first guy in the world. I can't recall another QB I've been rooting for more than Joe.

Humility comes from inability to prove talent over the long haul of a season. Imagine he knows there’s still lots to do in that area.

Doubt he will live up to his ungodly talent but he is going to be very good in my opinion. Can he keep drives going, make winning plays with his legs when it matters, and not turn it over? And most importantly can he be consistent? We can’t live off big explosive plays, in a high risk / high reward offense. Thankfully, he is going to benefit from a very good group of RB and an improved defense.

Not sure I'd agree that he's the "most talented" just yet, it's a long way to that big Sugar Bowl in Houston.

That being said, I like his/our chances. They (the chances) seem to get better every time I've looked up in the past few years.

God Bless Josh Heupel & GBO

Not sold just yet. He's All-Vol and I love him for it, but he's going to face plenty more adversity this year, so let's see how he handles it.

There are plenty of QBs that would have pouted and tuned sour when Hook took Joe's spot last year. Milton remained positive and put the team before himself. He's helping Nico right from the jump this year. A lot of QBs wouldn't have done that. I don't know what he was like at Michigan. But I haven't seen the ego from him that you often see from someone that naturally talented. I have no idea if he'll live up to the hype or not. But his attitude since he's been here has sure made me like him.

We all know he can throw it over them mountains. Can he put some touch on the ball and develop some pocket presence? The Clemson game showed some improvement, so there’s hope.

This one trait has killed more great could be players than any other thing. Potential does not translate to success without hard work, smarts, proper attuite, and a lot of heart...

I have a question for y’all. Here are Joe’s games per year:
2018 4
2019 3
2020 6
2021 6
2022 5
Depending on when the rules changed on red shirting and the covid year, does he have 2 years of eligibility left?

I would assume:

18 redshirt
19 freshman
20 doesn’t count
21 sophomore
22 junior
23 senior

So no

Nothing more dangerous than buying your own hype.

It blows my mind how the narrative continues to be that arm strength automatically equals QB talent. Being able to throw the ball really far is down the list of qualities that contribute to QB talent. I think processing speed is the #1 indicator of QB talent, but it’s not as obvious. Accuracy is also at the top of the list. If all it takes is arm strength, just go recruit a javelin thrower off the track team to be your QB.
