Joe Milton is the most talented QB in America

NFL history is littered with big-armed QB busts. Arm strength is valuable but probably ranks 4th or lower in a ranking of most important QB assets. If
arm strength were so important, he'd still be at Michigan.

It blows my mind how the narrative continues to be that arm strength automatically equals QB talent. Being able to throw the ball really far is down the list of qualities that contribute to QB talent. I think processing speed is the #1 indicator of QB talent, but it’s not as obvious. Accuracy is also at the top of the list. If all it takes is arm strength, just go recruit a javelin thrower off the track team to be your QB.
Better statement would be he’s the most physically gifted QB in college football right now but some of our fans would argue that as well.

I would say that leadership is also up there toward the top of the list as well.

Not according to NFL “experts”. I cite Will and AR15 as proof

Clearly he’s as talented a QB as you could want…but for me…his understanding of the system so well now makes him even more credible. Anything can happen of course but I for one am excited for what he can do this season. His confidence, calmness, and leadership (not to mention the talent around him) just tie it up in a nice bow!

I say Milton is certainly at or near the top as far as physical talent goes. His arm strength alone is a huge talent factor. You can’t teach arm strength, and this to me makes his potential ceiling higher than many. He played well against Clemson. With a whole spring and summer of being QB1, who knows how much better he may play? I’m not saying I’d be counting chickens, but if I were a Vol, I’d be excited about Milton!

You can tell how obvious his potential is, because he creates nuclear levels of hype, and yet comes off as the most humble, team first guy in the world. I can't recall another QB I've been rooting for more than Joe.
For sure. Maybe he needs some meanness and ice in his veins to be a better QB, but yes he appears to be a good person and definitely a gifted athlete.

While arm strength is overrated typically, I believe the extremely elite arms such as what Joe has is something a team should consider investing in. I would compare it to Tyreek Hill or even Hyatt. They have that elite gear to take the tops off of defenses. If you give them enough field and time, they will outrun the defender...which actually plays a part in having a QB with elite arm strength.
