Man, what would we do without our #1 Vols fan John Adams reminding us that Florida has won 17 or the last 19 matchups w our Vols? This guy is such a breath of fresh air. He's always looking on the bright side of life (begin whistling) and finding ways to make Vol fans feel good about themselves and the team they would die for. It's one thing to say we have sucked for 20 years however, to say that Florida sucked MORE with their also lack of finding excellent coaching talent (but still beat us is well) is like pouring jet fuel on the fire. Let's just say that John Adams is not on my Christmas card list. True though he may be, he might learn a thing or two from other writers and try to focus on our positives. As a boss of mine used to say, you can sugarcoat a turd but at the end of the day, it's still a turd. Yes, that is correct but, the sugar coating does help reduce the smell and make it look nice.

I mean, he keeps getting people to read his articles.

He’s obviously very good at his job. He writes stuff that people actually read.

I know a lot of folks that spill a lot of ink that will languish unread online and in libraries for decades to come.

Engagement whores are so annoying because you want to bash them but you fall right into their hands when you do. He wants comments on his posts. That's how he makes the algorithm go ^. He wants links. He gets those by irritating readers, or by using click-bait.
i saw this article this morning and refused to click it. dude's been doing this my entire life (except when peyton was on the hill)

Adams has always been a boil on the azz of humanity. He embodies the "Legions of the Miserable" which Coach Majors spoke of. He is a total tool. Longtime detriment to UT sports and a perpetual whiner.

Thankfully he is also irrelevant. Nobody cares what he has to say. People get their sports news and media online these days and he isnt even mentioned as an "also ran". Adios, Adams.

So...all the trash that fans say about how much more Florida has sucked than Tennessee the last few years is acceptable but only when talking about the full season and not the head to head? Got it.

John Adams is an LSU alumnus who's been paid by the KNS for decades to write derisive articles that crap on Tennessee. A dream job for him, I'm sure.

I laughed when the KNS took the Vols sports stuff behind a paywall. If they thought I was going to pay them, so they could pay him, so he could continue to write negative stories about UT - and I would give my money for that? Boy. Talk about stupid.

I don’t read the KNS, but his articles sound like they are quite a bit different than the way he talks about the Vols when he’s on Basilio. When I hear him on Basilio, he generally seems fair and positive when he talks about them. That being said, I know there aren’t a whole lot of Adams or Basilio fans on here. Lol.

I forget he exists until someone brings him up.

He and Finebaum have used the same formula for a certain type of success. Instead of doing really good work that the consumer likes, they create "enragement" - which is getting people to engage by making them mad. It's a cheap way forward for those without actual character or talent, but it's proven to work, so soulless people will always be there to do it. Some people care that they are respected, others only care that they can make you do the thing that makes them money and gets them attention. Please don't link to it.

The same Adams that picked the Vols to make the playoffs early in the preseason —- before it was trendy?
