John Brantley Transferring?

No offense, but the Gators could really use Brantley next year. Its funny how he was a first rounder before the year and now he sucks. The kid was in a system he wasn't fit for. Now the system is looking to fit his needs but everyone wants him gone. The guy is easily the best pro style QB on the roster. Burton and Reed are more dual threat. You can't expect a true freshman to come in and burn up the world from the get-go. There were major questions concerning Driskel's game which have been partially answered before this year but he could definitely use a year to get used to the speed of the college game. Brantley will be a Sr next year so that would make perfect sense to ease into the Driskel era. Otherwise, it may be a rough start for the new offense.

this is all eerily reminiscent of our struggles with cromp-daddy and kiffin.

This plus the kid bleeds gator blood. It would be a huge decision for him to leave this school. I believe CUM tried to sway him away from coming but with his legacy he came anyway at his own peril.
