If LSU came after O to make him a d cord and offered him more money than we are. Why wouldn't he leave to go back home to LSU. It would be a promotion for him possibily be the D cord and assistant head coach.

Isn't that what they did last year before he selected UT?

And why would he risk getting fired at the end of next season or 2011 when he could have as much as 3+ years here and possibly get a better gig and have better coaching connections?

I thought we offered him more money to come here. Don't forget LSU isn't the only school that has a problem with the NCAA right now. I do believe LSU has better talent than we do and alot better recruiting base also.

The offer from LSU was Defensive Line Coach/Associate Head Coach making around $600K per year.

Check Louisiana H.S. players going to Div. I vs. players from Tennnessee. Don't just pick a year...go over the past decade. You will be surprised.

For those doubting GA and Richt, consider that they averaged 29 pts a game this year. The problem is they gave up nearly as many on defense. Bring in a good defensive coordinator and I think their program remains extremely competitive.

It's Georgia. They will be competive and find ways to choke everytime. They always manage to take complete halves of games off or end up getting blown out in their big games, even with superior or equal talent. Tennessee has been bitten by this bug the past few years, but for Georgia, that is their 110+ year legacy.

Just read on a Louisiana TV website that Chavis has not yet bought a house in Baton Rouge and still owns the one in Tennessee.

The difference is that Tennessee's players end up at like Southern Miss and Memphis while Louisiana's go to various SEC schools and USC...there's not much question that Louisiana has better high school players than Tennessee does

Chris Low squashed this rumor on Basilio's show today.

Stated he got a text from someone close to Chavis.

It's to bad. I was getting excited that Lane would have the opportunity to torch UGAs defense every year.

Wow. Richt is now 0 for 3 with the DC search? Who are their candidates? I think its wiser for Chavis to stay at LSU than to go lateral for Georgia.

btw, 1 yr anniversary of Orgeron pulling the run out from under LSU and coming to work for the Kiffins.
