I rarely watch Football Night In America, but when I have, I've never heard him say anything political. Besides, Olberman has nothing to do with the Onion, so.....

my point is that in the current atmosphere, sports is no refuge from politics. Comedy Central doesn't exactly lean right, so there's a possibility that the Onion's sports show could devolve.

To me that reflects more poorly on CNN, MSNBC and Fox than it does the individuals. If people seriously consider a comedy show a more legit source of news than those stations, then that's probably on the stations for their ineptitude.

I see your point and understand to some extent. IMO it does reflect more poorly on the individuals, they don't care about being truly informed. They would rather watch them play the gotcha games with edited clips than seek out the stories that matter today.
