How about this translation:
Our offensive passing sucks. I just looked at the stats, they suck.

Even when we were down to DR as our main option and no running game to speak of we looked better. We have a running game now. Passing should be improved. Whomever is to blame.

I think it is improving... but yeah it still isn't good.

Notably... Worley started his first game vs a very good USCe D two years ago and had a tough night. But he played reasonably well the next two games with a team down to only DR as an SEC level receiver.

Worley with one receiver and NO run game two years ago... posted better numbers than he is now with a good run game. The missing element is at least one go to receiver that he can count on. Versus MTSU and Arky, Worley threw to DR 14 times for 243 yds.

If this team had a one player or better a combination of players that could give Worley that kind of dependability... we wouldn't be having these discussions.

Anybody know why Paul Harris never sees the field? Are we gonna redshirt him? I thought he would show out like North... haven't heard anything about him tho.

Also, the more I see of Vereen, the more I think he's going to be amazing. Hope he gets to meet Aaron Murray this week.

Between Cory Vereen and Cam Sutton, life is going to get significantly harder for some SEC quarterbacks in the years to come. I'm already excited about it.

Just saw this quote from today:

RS FRESHMAN WIDE RECEIVER JASON CROOM

»(On if Justin Worley asserted himself as the QB)

“Yeah, Worley’s a great quarterback. We’ve just got to help him out. Anything he does, that’s on us. He’s throwing to a spot and we’re expected to be there.”

Now I don't know whether or not that's 100% correct, but good on Croom for having his QB's back.

Am I the only one who sees what Pig was doing? He geared down in a soft spot instead of running himself covered. It is a basic skill receivers are taught to do. He was looking for the pass quick and early because the out was covered. Bad communication, maybe. But not laziness.

I've been wondering that myself, I guess JRM is just taking longer to adjust. Not sure.

I think a lot of it is that there are more experienced upperclassmen ahead of him.

Not being able to suit up and practice in the spring has put behind where many expected him to be.

No, I believe the commentator even made the point. He was suppose to cut in front of the DB. It is not a route that requires any YAC. He is already in the end zone. He is suppose to cut in front of the DB and use his body to shield the defender to make the catch. I will agree that the route would have been much more successful with Croom or North running it. Not a perfect fit for Pit's physical attributes.

NOOOOO!! Croom is wrong. The experts here have spoken and it is ALL ... as in A-L-L... TODO... Worley's fault.

Seriously though that is nice to see and especially for a guy who is beginning to make a habit of being where he's expected to be and then make a play on the ball.

Worley did something similar when asked about the second INT at the end zone. Jones clearly jumped Pig's rear for not completing the route. Worley in his post-game interview deflected blame from Pig and said they just read the coverage differently.

All of the players have been pretty careful to protect their teammates like that.

I hope Pig picks it up some, he's got potential but is def not showing out like I thought he would.

Someone has to get him the ball..... We seemed to have trouble doing that last weekend and it will not be any easier when Georgia comes to town. I truly hope they can get it together.

GO VOLS!!!

He wasn't open where he was... and I am not sure he would have been open if he had finished the route. He could have made a play on the ball though which would have prevented the INT. I think that's what Jones was hacked off about. The coaching would always be to continue the route if you are still covered. He was... but the guy who made the pick was playing him outside.

It wasn't laziness. It may have been a lack of route discipline or a bad read. Definitely not a lack of effort or desire to do good on the part of either guy.

Jones has since suggested that Worley should have thrown the ball away. That's probably the best choice.

Really? Seemed to get the ball to Josh Smith nicely on multiple occasions. Got the ball to Croom for some nice pick ups. Got the ball to North a few times...

Worley needs to improve but he's not the only one. There are still problems with the WR's that would prevent the passing game from becoming good even if Worley was playing perfect, had a better arm, or whatever else. It is a team game that needs many individuals within the team to progress... and it IS happening based on the difference between the play of Worley AND the receivers in the 1st game vs the 5th game.

Worley hit Smith in stride for a beautiful TD; see no reason why that won't be happening for North any time now.

Unfortunately the last 2 weeks he has hit alot of defensive guys in stride too. North definitely should have atleast 2 TD's, seems like he is always open, as is Smith. Smith stays open, he just needs to work on his drops. I know of atleast 7 drops this year and pretty sure its even more than that. He has dropped 5 of Petermans in just the few throws he has made this yr.
