Johnny Manziel wins Heisman

Vandy beat exactly zero teams with a winning record. A&M beat the best team in the country.

Winning the Bama game should not automatically give him the Heisman if that's what you are insinuating. Aggies only beat 3 teams with winning records, Miss St and LaTech were the others.

I was concerned we might get another ND hose job.

Congrats JFB!!-----:salute::salute::salute:

Te'O won the Lombardi and several other awards. I love the guy as a game changer and leader, but Manziel was a boss out there all year. Well-deserved to him.

So just because Tamu plays in the SEC they had a harder schedule than K St? In that case thanks for validating Vanderbilt's season.

The only thing Klein beat Manziel in is rushing touchdowns (22-19) and picks (Klein had 7 to Manziel's 8). Manziel threw for 1000 more yards and 9 more touchdowns and had about 300 more rushing yards. He also broke a record for most total yards in a season, a record once set by two previous Heisman winners in their Heisman winning seasons. Oh yeah, he also went into Tuscaloosa and beat the #1 team in the nation. Now keep going on about how Collin Klein should have won the Heisman.

Whatever. Andrew Luck lost the Heisman on one bad pass. Manziel fell apart in the second half of the Florida and LSU games and looked like Damian Allen vs Ole Miss.

What you fail to realize is Heisman is based on stats and things you do in big games. Sure he fell apart in those games but Look at what he did to make up for it. He beat Alabama almost by himself who was at the time #1. Put that together with breaking arguably the best player in College Footballs records. Freshman or not the kid is electric.

Manziel had a great season, not taking that away. The last few years players have lost the Heisman based on how they performed in their biggest games. The biggest games for Johnny Football were UF, Bama, and LSU. He played below average in the second half of two of those games. 8 great and 4 bad quarters in a teams 3 biggest games aren't Heisman worthy.

I wouldn't consider Baylor to be a big game for KState, but somehow Klein managed to throw 3 picks against one of the Big 12's worst defenses.

It didn't help that the Baylor game was the first opportunity for a prime time national TV audience to see the newly minted #1 team in the BCS...and they crapped the bed.

The right guy won the Heisman, and the right guy lost.

The SEC is safe unless a Michigan player is in the running.

^^^^^ I believe it should be,the SEC is safe as long as a UT player IS NOT in the running! I`m happy the Yanks did`nt fk Johnny like they did Peyton. CONGATS, JFB! ANY MAN WHO BEATS BAMA,BUT NOT US,IS A HERO OF MINE! GO VOLS!!! i am,and will remain till death,still pissed over givin a Yank Michichump DB the Heisman over MANNING!! TERRY FAIR HAD AS GOOD,IMO BETTER,A SEASON AS WOODSON! If memory serves me correctly,Fair had better stats in all cats. excepting PR TDs. And Woodson had 2 to Fairs 1. Not positive,but I AM positive Fair had a better season stat-wise in 97 than Woodson,because I remember pointing to that as a sign of the absurdity of it. Manning was,by parsecs,more deserving than Woodson! Yanks just didn`t AND WAS NOT,going to give it to two white SEC qbs in a row,or a player from TENNESSEE!! FK THE HEISMAN! BUT I DO LIKE JFB. GO FKIN VOLS!!!
