A funny thought just struck me. If Hart fires Dooley and the Doolanders start posting that our program just got set back 3 years and we will never get Gruden to come to Knoxville, they will, by their own definition become the NegaVols and if Chucky does come then the Grudenites become the so called "true fans"!

It's been awhile since I have been up there. Went to a Cub game a few years ago. Always a good time.

Any idea who the former players are pushing for? I'm sure Cut is brought up by someone. Nothing against him , I just personally hope we go in a different direction if we have to make a change. Thanks for the info as always. :hi:

I don't think they are pushing for a particular coach, just mainly behind making a HC change. With CDD's personality being one that likes to control everything, he rubbed a lot of former players the wrong way. Couple that with his record, he doesn't stand a chance.

I know all about it. I really don't understand his issues with former players and them being around the program. It's like he does , but he doesn't. Really confusing. I mean , players that were legends here feel like they aren't welcome.

I've said all along it's wait and see what happens the next 3 games , but do you believe he is done no matter what? I mean , I think a Bama win would save him for sure , but in no way do I see it happening.

I could see a scenario which keeps Dooley here. Hart doesn't want to make a change and any ray of light that CDD gives him helps.
Too many people and situations are against CDD now and without something to hang his hat on, Hart's hand will be forced.

Understood. Hart has to make the right choice , because this will be his hire and something he will be judged on. I agree with the possible chance that Dooley can save his job. I want nothing more than to win every single game we play. But with what is on the way...I've said it enough. No need to say more. I don't believe a MSU win is enough either. It's a start , but they have played a pathedic schedule. And that is being kind. Once again , thanks for the info , DTO. :hi:

I tend to agree. I honestly think it's his message that he is supporting him , but knows what he will have to do. Isn't that pretty much the last thing we hear (and I have no doubt that is what he is saying right now) before an AD makes a change? According to the current top 25 , we play the current number 1,2,3 and 4 ranked teams next season. I just don't see how Dooley saves his job even if he gets another year. The next 3 games determine his future here. And as a Tennessee fan to the core , I hope we win them all.

If he loses to msu, there goes his job. He hasn't done anything I'd keep him for. We need a real ball coach. One with his own scheme. I always hated that with Dooley. He has no philosophies.
