I'm really looking forward to the Crompton era at UT. I just don't think that it needs to be rushed at this point. From what I have seen of JC, he looks like a solid QB with great leadership skills.
Welcome to the board.

Apparently Jon knows the playbook better than any other Freshman QB thats been here which is definitely a good start. Hopefully he has rested his arm and is ready to start throwing again soon. I dont think he will be redshirted unless it gets late in the season and we just didnt use him. I dont think he will start out the season as a redshirt.

Why are you guys all up his a$$?? You have one of the best QB's in the SEC in Ainge and hes only a SOPH! But yet you guys continue to talk about a freshman that hasnt played a single down, and hope hell start over an all-sec qb? I dont get it.

You don't like your players to be a little cocky? He may be a punk, but at least you know it means he's got a confidence that's hard to shake, which IMO is one of the best aspects a qb can have.
As far as Crompton, I say redshirt him. Losing both starters like last season should be highly unlikely. Plus we will get great mileage for the next five years out of our QB's. Crompton will serve as a great #2 when Ainge is a junior and senior, and then JC will get two years of his own time to shine.

Well, if he is supposed to have it knocked out of him, I think it would have happened in our game against Auburn. But, he's still the same. It means he maintains his demeanor very well.

i didnt say someone is suppsoe to knock it out of him!!! Once again he is a good qb. My only point is the boy thinks he owns ut. Now im sure when you was in school or maybe even work you have met someone cocky before! So you know excatly what im sayin. He dont move out of the way for other people to walk by he expects them to move for him. I here alot of students say he is a jerk, punk, and alot of people dont like his off feild ways!! But thats not what we look at!!

I went to high school with Ainge for two years, played in the same football program as him and am an acquaintance of his. I know exactly what you are talking about. Yes, he is arrogant. He considered himself a celebrity in the town of Hillsboro (and pretty much was). While I don't like arrogant people, I think most good football players should have a level of arrogance about them. My point is you are complaining about him being arrogant, and while I'm agreeing with you that he is, I think it is alright because of the fact that he is a football player. If he wasn't like that, he wouldn't be good.
