Jones can't coach. And here is the obvious reason

Every coach that runs the spread isn't good at actual x's and o's or game management. That's why they run the spread in the first place. The coaches count on outscheming and out athleting the other team. When it doesn't work it's game over. They don't switch it up like Saban or Tuberville or Spurrier. Their guenious is in the pregame installation and recruting. SO it's not a surprise when we don't have better players or if the scheme doesn't work that the spred team loses. The games we have won is because we had better players and the two games we were in (uga, and usce) the scheme was working and a lot of breaks went our way. Every other game nothing worked. I expecte 21 points from us. And remember vandy left about 14 points on the field with turnovers so I could have lived with a 28-24 loss. But the coaches would have had to pull another 5-6 uniques coaching plays out of theiir a@$. We're luck we didn't get blown out. It is what it is.

Are you a head coach in the NCAA? No, you're not. STFU and quit trying to rationalize us losing idiot.

We actually started the game with Dobbs under center, in the I formation and ran it. Vandy stuffed each of 3-4 run up the middle, literally didn't give up 2 yards.

Later on, Vandy had to call in the reserves for, eventually, their entire secondary. What happened then?

I thought this was going to be about the completely retarded fake fg.

Coach should be fired for that stupid call regardless of anything else

I ain't closing the door on CBJ himself. Just his assistants....who got outcoached by Vandy.....Vandy!!! Can't blame this one on talent or speed. We've blown Vandy out of the water in recruiting circles overall, this past 5yrs...even when we've had one of the worst downturns in our history.

Haven't had the talent to match Bama or Oregon, this year, but apart from those two teams, we've recruited well enough in the past 5 seasons to go toe to toe with the rest.

This must elude you . WE DO NOT HAVE A QB. We started the season with poor QB play , he improved and almost won a big game and then won a big game. Then he got hurt. Now we have a freshman . Dobbs may end up being great ...but he is not now. We cant pass . We are playing a scrum every play with 8 guys in the box. When we do pass ..noncompeting or INT. Cant win games with no QB play.

Our problem is our coordinators are abunch of leftovers that weren't good enough for the others so we go get them. Fact.

Ummmmmmmmm.....lets see 1) first year headcoach 2) not his players 3) he is getting the players he is wanting in this year' s class and upcoming years to come. Im so sick and tired of people talking smack about coach jones and none of you could do any better. All I hear is butch done this wrong or shoulda coulda or woulda...I mean damn!!! Get behind our coach and show him we are still supporting him and not bashing him in any way shape or form. #GBO. #RISETOTHETOP #TEAM 118 WILL BE THE $ H*T NEXT YEAR

The original game plan for this game was Dobbs to North, to the left, to the right and up the middle.
Dobbs confidence was shattered, when North went down on the first play of the game and Bakajan had no back up plan.
The one pass downfield that could have restored Dobb's confidence was dropped by Smith, as usual.
There were 20 passes thrown and 90% of them were flairs behind or within one yard of the line of scrimmage.
Bakajan had no back up plan for losing North and panicked.

I agree that the loss of North was costly and as usual there were a couple of key 'drops' . I think they were trying to get Dobbs going early and in a rhythm. And he threw 2 INTs and was off the mark . Looks like they just tried to give him stuff he could execute and keep in close . No QB usually translates to no win.

Butch Jones is still learning and Vol fans will have to give him the time to learn how to actually coach. James Franklin could teach Jones, but is unwilling to help.
