i expect us to beat uga and uf. Judging by this write up about uga, their secondary is unsettled.

revelations aplenty at georgia’s open scrimmage | georgia bulldogs blog

lol@uga

i would say several hundred to 1,000 students came out. But it was hard to tell. Most of the students wisely sat in the shadows at the top of the sun-scorched lower-level stands on the north side. And a relatively small crowd like that gets swallowed in a 92,000-seat facility.

I think a bowl game is reachable. Provided the freshman players mature fast. and there are no injuries to key players.

Feel strongly about getting to a bowl.....maybe even +1. Confident Missouri/aTm will finally learn the grind of the SEC, year in/out.

Ole Miss, Mizzou, UF and Vandy-- we need 2 of these to get to a bowl. IMO, 6 wins is the floor and 7 is reaching for the goal.

Can't believe you went there.

There's a curb stomping coming in Nashville in November.

Everyone predicting a 4-8 season must think we're going to completely tank at QB, with no freshmen stepping up. If Worley is serviceable, I think we get to 6 without too much drama.

I'd settle for 6 wins with drama if necessary, just stop the bleeding, go bowling

Man, you gotta love our football coach! He's put up for one year what we've been putting up with for, what, 4-5 years?!? He's already sick of it. He's used to success and ready to start winning!!

He is aware that winning is his job.

Personally, I love the fact that he said, "When we go to a bowl game this year . . . we will have 14 college graduates on this year's team performing. That will be the most in the country." First and foremost, it signifies the completion of what should be every student-athlete's most fundamental goal, the acquisition of a college degree.

From the standpoint of accelerating program development, however, it signifies ongoing success in what I consider to be one of the unspoken cornerstones of Butch's overall strategy. As we are all aware, Butch and his staff signed 14 early enrollees in the 2014 recruiting class, which I believe is the most in program history. However, in perusing Lindy’s Southeastern 2014 Preview, I discovered, to my surprise, the following statement: “UT had a nation’s leading 14 players enroll at mid term, the third time in four years that Butch Jones has had the most mid-termers in the country” (p. 174). That quite simply does not happen by random chance. I regret that I can’t provide a citation, but Butch stated previously that one of his goals is for his players to graduate in 3 to 3 ½ years. It is my opinion that Butch wants to do everything in his power to coordinate the graduation of as many players as possible in December, both on the high school level and from our football team, thus maximizing the number of spots available for early enrollees. If he can bring in 12-15 early enrollees every year, that is a tremendous advantage in terms of accelerating player development, both in the strength and conditioning program, spring practice, enhanced preparation for their freshman season, and academic acclimation to college-level work.

CBJ has gone to a bowl game by the end of his second season at his first two stops so why not? I usually like to use caution when predicting my teams record but I wouldn't bet against him.

That's a great statistic. Impressive really. I hope we go to a bowl game but am even more impressed by the academic progress Coach Jones has fostered in such a short time.

Tennessee will go 8-4. The Wins will be: Utah St.,Arkansas St, Chattanooga, Ole Miss., South Carolina ( they are now in their head ), Kentucky, Vabderbilt, and Missouri. Anticipate more but expect nothing less.

Ummmm... I don't know any SEC coaches before the season that wouldn't expect to play in a bowl game. Now getting there once the games start might be a different story. Time will tell.
