Jones' Military Background...

Oh please. For me there was an unmistakable Sargent Carter element at times when he spoke today. The post-military haircut, demeanor & body language...maybe you didn't grow up with that show.

Everyone is giving you a hard time bro. I know exactly what you are talking about. I did see the resemblance. Last year it was Buddy Hackett, this year Sergent Carter.

Orville Redenbacher?

Orville Redenbacher would have been a better hire than Jones. I didn't drink Doolaide, and I'm not drinking Jones Soda.

Check out the contract - we had to pay Uof Cincy $1.4M to hire Jones, then paid Jones a $500K signing bonus, gave him a contract through the end of February 2019, and have to pay him $2M a year if he is fired or asked to resign! And, he has no D1 major program head coaching experience! We could have gotten Tressell or Petrino for much less, and with no current contract to buy out.

Mike Hamilton, AKA Dave Hart, has sold UT sports down the toilet once again.

GBO......... anyway.

Sergeant...as a former one I would be remiss not to point out the spelling error.

If I remember correctly, Frank Sutton, the actor who played Sergeant Carter was from somewhere in west Tennessee.

I cannot believe it, but when I saw CBJ in the press conference that is exactly who came to mind! LOL

Well, it's true this thread initially went distinctly sideways when I launched it last night, but it's nice to know I'm not the only one who made the connection. The mistake a few made was thinking this comparison was equal to a vote against Jones, but nothing could be further from the truth. I actually think he may be a great fit for the program and the SEC. We shall see, as someone wisely once said.
