meanwhile, martin said he has talked with signee chris jones, a guard at melrose high school in memphis, and it's his understanding jones no longer wants to be released from his national letter of intent
If true, this is big. He will be the best PG on the roster the second he steps foot on campus. In fact, he will be the best PG on a UT roster since CJ Watson.

Huge. I hope he qualifies. He could be a huge factor with a big scoring lift from a point man. No offense to Golden, but Jones has the makings of a solid scoring contributor at the "1". Based on last year, I just cannot forsee Golden being a big time scoring guy.
This is great news, now maybe Ware will come around and recommit to Tennessee so we can get back on track. Maybe even add Josh Richardson to that list.
He is a very different type of PG than Watson. But he is very good at what he does. Jones is much more of a scoring PG than Watson but Watson was a better distributor and defender.
Is he just walking around in Memphis right now? In school? Done with course requirements? ACT needed? I assumed after his controversy that he'd never make it anyway. Hope I was wrong.
