Couple mistakes in this post. First of all, the indication that Woolridge would ever make his way into a starting lineup. Second, your statement that a disciplined coach will do wonder for Scotty. While it could certainly help him, I have coached high school for quite some time now and if a player has the general attitude and temperment of Scotty you dont just make it go away by coaching him more disciplined. Not every play can be coached up to their potential. Sometimes they just dont mentally have the capability to reach their physical potential.

Woolridge sat out this year due to an injury. Plus with our potential 7 man roster and lack of big men, he most definitely will see a lot of playing time. As for Scotty, I agree with you on the fact that his mental game conflicts with his physical game; however, I also believe he wants to change that. The difference between someone your describing and what I believe Scotty reflects is a player who desires to grow. If you don't have the drive to reach your potential, you won't. I guess we'll see this year (if he stays) what Hopson is really made of.

Definitely agree with the big man statement. I don't think Maymon terrible, but he's not big enough for center. IMO

SO is it a violation that CCM was talking about Ware after he was released from his LOI and is no longer signed with us?

SG-Cam Tatum
SF-Scotty Hopson (A disciplined coach could do wonders to his game)
PF-Renaldo Woolridge
C-Kenny Hall
Really?
Jones = best point guard we've had in years
Tatum= i sure hope he's not the top SG or we're in serious trouble
Hopson= major head case
Woolridge= better known for his rapping than anything he's ever done on the BB court
Hall= all he's shown he's good for up to this point is 5 fouls, which occurs very quickly

Care to try again?

Now, he just needs to qualify acadmically.

Now that he is back in the hands of Johnson, it would not surprise me to see Jones all of the sudden gets the scores he needs. How he gets those scores, however, is another issue.

Bobby Maze was a very serviceable PG, and Ramar had all the ability in the world... but outside of that, we have not had a legit PG since CJ. Ramar was a 5* and top 25 player coming out of HS even if he was a stone cold criminal and had a jumpshot so bad he was jealous of Dennis Rodman...

Jones is a great all around PG, and will make an immediate contribution in the starting lineup IMO. I do not get all the Ware hate though. He is EVERY bit as athletic as Travis Leslie, and IMO will be a better ball player when all is said and done. He reminds me of Dwayne Wade coming out of HS. The real question is how he develops, but he has all the raw talent you could want.

Go Vols!!!

Wow, plays like Wade and is more athletic than probably the most athletic player in the country right now. Maybe just a tad bit of an exaggeration here.

At the present, Tatum, & Woolridge are pellet guns.

Is that really saying a lot though?

Are you saying CJ Watson wasn't a good PG? He's the best since leaving Knoxville. There's not been anybody close. Jones should make us not miss a CJ Watson type player as much. We need a solid PG and Jones fits that build. He should start immediately upon arriving. :)

Since Cj is in the association I'm gonna have to say you swung at a grounder. And yes you missed.

Try again. Best point guard since CJ=better than all the point guard's since CJ. Therefore, CJ isn't included in the comparison. So basically, saying Jones would be the best point guard since Watson is saying he's better than Ramar Smith, Bobby Maze, Melvin Goins, and everyone else who has butchered the position since Watson left. In other words, it's not saying much.

No those are going to be the starters with the possible exception of Woolridge. We're not going to be deep next year but we still have talent. At times all of these players have had glimmers of promise.

Does nobody like Golden, I thought he started to look better at the end of the year?

Well I was agreeing with that CJ was a solid player here which translated to a solid career in the NBA so far.

I can assure you Jeronne Maymon won't lead next year's squad in minutes.

Hopson is not going to be getting less than 30 minutes a game either. He led the league in scoring in league play last year.
