Jordan Jefferson

That was the point I was trying to make. Somewhat.

I know that play was a result of Waggner not making a play. But the fact is it happened. Jefferson is an awful QB and didn't play well that game, but UT's defense didn't play much better. That is the point I was making.

I felt like UT played pretty dang good defense. UT lost on a bush league play.

If it comes down to a coaching competition it will be a duck walk in the park.

It should be, but I'd say that Miles has proven coaching prowess has nothing to do when it comes to who wins vs LSU.

You have the unnattractive nerd that lands a hot chick.

Or the college student that randomly fills out the scantron test and somehow comes up with a 100.

And the guy that walks into the dealership and is the 1,000,000 customer that wins a new car.

Miles is all of these at the same time.

That was one of the best games Tennessee's D had last season.

Something I said 2 years ago, Jefferson is good enough to get you 9-10 wins if the rest of the team is high caliber as LSU but he is unable to make the 3-4 throws a game needed to win the couple of big wins you need from your QB.

The problem with Jefferson is genetic, his throwing mechanic is like Aaron Brooks, it's a big windup thing which is not going to ever change. He needs a super long time to get the ball out. What has kept him on the field is that he knows he can't make the throw and eats sacks left and right instead of INTs.

I would go with Lee and Mett and use Jefferson in spot positions. Lee is going to put points up, the key is for him not to score for the other team. If LSU can move to the top 50 offenses than it should be good year, I don't see a big downgrade in the defense. Playing Lee or Mett is playing to win, playing Jefferson is playing to not lose. IMHO

Horrible playcalling has hurt probably worse than anything... with Crowton gone I would like to see what Lee can do.
