Something I said 2 years ago, Jefferson is good enough to get you 9-10 wins if the rest of the team is high caliber as LSU but he is unable to make the 3-4 throws a game needed to win the couple of big wins you need from your QB.
The problem with Jefferson is genetic, his throwing mechanic is like Aaron Brooks, it's a big windup thing which is not going to ever change. He needs a super long time to get the ball out. What has kept him on the field is that he knows he can't make the throw and eats sacks left and right instead of INTs.
I would go with Lee and Mett and use Jefferson in spot positions. Lee is going to put points up, the key is for him not to score for the other team. If LSU can move to the top 50 offenses than it should be good year, I don't see a big downgrade in the defense. Playing Lee or Mett is playing to win, playing Jefferson is playing to not lose. IMHO
Horrible playcalling has hurt probably worse than anything... with Crowton gone I would like to see what Lee can do.
