I will start believing in Jordan McRae when he starts playing smarter basketball

He got a good start against UGA, lets see if he can do it for a few more games

Most frustrating player on the team to me.
All the talent in the world and very limited effort, O and D.

If McRae can play to near his potential next year were 5 wins better automatically IMO.

I feel McRae is probably the most unlucky with the coaching change that happened, and it's hardest for him. This guy came in with the game of running, gunning, high flying very little defense in mid which is what he was best at. Now he's being asked to slow it down, be selective with shots, only make high percentage plays and tough nosed defense or you don't play type of game. To me he was the furthest thing from a ccm type of guy we had on this team, and for that reason I do hold up that the light switch still could turn on for him, I'm giving him the most leeway I guess you could say and the biggest chance. If he'd do it this year we'd have several more winds going down the stretch.
He's the guard we're missing.
Don't know whether it's courage or want to, he does have the ability. Needs to bring it soon!

I edited my above post and kind of gave my take on it. As you said he's the biggest missing piece right now, if he could get it ping we're much better, now it next year.

If he wasn't 20+ games into the season, I'd agree.
It's now or never for him as far as I'm concerned.
Either bring your game this year or make room for a Juco next year that will.

If it was all about youth and inexperience, Calipari would be 12-12 this year.

McRae either isn't putting in the time on his own to improve or he's the most over rated player on the team.
Personally, I think he just lazy.

I don't think its inexperience I think he just is a player that's played one way all his life and is now being asked to play another. I agree he needs to show something the rest of the year, atleast some sign of consistency is what I'm looking for, it doesn't have to be anything extreme like 15ppg, just some consistency night in and out. 2 of the lat 3 games have been good, noboy showed for UK so I'll give that one a pass, no reason he shouldn't show up tonight though.

Like Golden? Maybe not as consistent as we'd like, but night and day over last season.
Hope McRae gets the minutes tonight and does as well or better than he did against GA.
If he doesn't get the minutes it means he went back to sleep on the practice floor.

Bingo! Just show something, and keep working in practice, and listening to the staff. You keep busting it and he has too much potential and talent to not be good.
