You need three/four good guards if you want to have a good team. This was a failing of PS's last several years--poor guarding recruiting. We didn't even have a PG to run the team for two years--had a small forward playing PG! PS & Co. also recruited a string of shooting guards--I won't name them--who were good shooters but slow and unathletic: couldn't create, couldn't beat anyone off the dribble; couldn't play defense. This was a problem for a few years--the team was too slow. It looks like the staff is now putting a premium on athleticism--and we are running more, which is good.
