Josh Dobbs Playing Time

I think he and Ferguson redshirt unless there's an injury to Worley or Peterman. It would be interesting to see who the staff makes the 2nd stringer if that happened. The interesting QB battle will be spring 2014. I think at least one guy, maybe two, out of Worley, Peterman, Ferguson, Dobbs, and High could be gone by that point.

I don't think Dobbs is concerned about redshirting though: academics are important to him and he's picking an extremely tough major. He'll be here at least 4 years.

We need to win NOW so we can recruit studs in 2014. Recruits want a coach who can win so Butch must wins some games next season. Play to Win!

Thus, Coach should start the QB that gives TN the best chance to win each game. Not to give a QB playing time for the future. The time to win some games is now.
This^^^ UT cannot afford to put good players in the savings account right now.

No one has any experience in this offense so JD has as good a chance as any to start. He has as much game experience in college as Peterman. Worley looked average. I think he starts at some point this year.

Charlie High is a local kid with tons of potential. Has a cannon of an arm, good vision, and decent mobility. Seems to have good decision making skills on the field and actually holds some TSSAA football records. I agree that he has been undervalued by scouts.

This kid seems really determined to be something at UT so I hope he finds a spot on the field even if it is somewhere other than QB.
