Because he is a backup. He has had his shots at multiple teams. He just doesn’t end up doing enough to earn a spot as a starter. He is a career backup. And a good one at that.

Man, we've had a hella bad season. It can't end soon enough.

There was no part of that last XP that was normal. The snap was really bad, the hold was more of an attempt to just get the ball down-the laces were wrong and the ball looked inside, and then that kick was a mess which I don’t really put in the kicker. I think he had to reach for the ball.

That onside though. Wow.

He's perfect for coming in and providing a little spark for a few games, but as soon as DCs start scheming for him, it usually reveals why he has been a backup. He's actually had trouble staying on active rosters

Dobbs was the back up why would he not start if Brock doesn't play?

I realize they are out of the play offs...it's a meaningless game, but the back up qb they are going with has less playing time than Dobbs. Even though it's a meaningless game, you still want to win it or at least should want to win it.

They might think they have about the same chance with the other guy, who they signed a few weeks ago. Chances are that if he looks bad, Dobbs will come in for him
