Or...he’ll turn out to be the real deal, Lincoln Riley takes an NFL gig next year and he bolts to his dream job, Oklahoma, after only one season.Probably take a few years off after he gets a massive buy out from UT.

Not saying I haven’t, but I think some have been close to being right. Not all. I think Les Miles would be great for leadership right now though. It this crisis, he would be a great teacher if we have NCAA suspensions. He could help this program for several years. You’ve started down absolute bat **** crazy threads with unfounded claims. Just add that one to list.
He did well for 2 years.... declining, but not dropping off. He straight dropped on year 3. He did not do "well" longer. He just did longer. 6-4 w/ UCF's schedule (8 gimmees in 2020) isn't my idea of doing well.

It official. Every single coach sucks. We can’t win with them .
This situation - despite the money - isn’t too appealing to good, experienced coaches with other options. It doesn’t matter what our record was in the 90s. Or how many first round picks we’ve had. The program is in shambles. Start with someone who wants to be here and hope he’s good. Y’all are acting like we have leverage here.
Wes Rucker hearing Heupel as well, Patrick Brown says it appears Jeff Lebby is leaving Ole Miss to join him at TN as QB coach.
Lost by 3 to the 7th ranked team in the country.
Lost by a lot to the best BYU team (and more talented) in a long long time.
3 losses by a combined 12 points. Surly they should do better if they want to continue to be what they were.
However I wouldn’t simply take 1 covid year.......that wasn’t simply terrible, as the deciding factor (not like it was a Tennessee season...6-4).
Again though.......I’d rather have several coaches.....even some coordinators. As I think Heupel needs to be much more proven.
So, UT makes a universally praised hire in Danny White. They pay him an obscene amount to prove that they have unrestrained confidence in him. While White's job isn't solely dependent on this hire, there's no doubt that the administration spent the money because they were convinced he'd nail it. What does he do with that mandate? He hires the guy that's been slowly pissing away the very reason that everyone thought the world of Danny White.
This can't be real life, can it?
