Josh McDaniels fined and fired

I havent watched the Broncos, but how bad was it?

Is the Tebow pick an Epic Failure?

Tebow has barely seen the field, so its to early to tell there. Everything else related with McDaniels has been terrible though. Poor decisions, running good players out of town, and "Spygate II" just to name a few. Not to mention the piss poor play by the team this year.

Not when Meyer takes the job in Denver...

Don't even joke about that! Or it could be a good thing who knows. I am interested to see what happens to Tebow now. I'd like to keep him to see how he does.

Adam Schefter tweeted that Troy Calhoun is a true candidate...

He was with Denver a few years back and did a little bit of everything while he was there. I'm hoping if Houston fires Gary Kubiak that Denver will take a look at him. Maybe rekindle a little of that Mile High Magic from the late 90's.

I thought Kubiak had more to do with that offense than Shanahan. I always saw it more as a Kubiak-Elway team on offense more so than Shanahan. The Broncos have to build a defensive line. It's been the problem for the last 5 years. Yet they've never committed to it. Jarvis Moss was retarded.

I don't know who the Broncos should grab. I don't really like Gruden.

Man I am happy to see McDaniels leave. It was hard to still be a Broncos fan their for a bit. Fire Shanahan, and replace a legend with...Josh McDaniels? Really? Pat Bowlen failed with that hire. Hopefully he will take his time with who he is going to hire next. I would not like to see Gruden in Denver though. That would essentially be the end of any possibility of Tebow having success in the NFL. Urban Meyer would be an interesting choice, doubt it happens though. I don't know if Urban could handle coaching in the NFL

How do you use a first round draft pick and then not play him? Thats bad management. A 1st rounder has to come in and play immediately

Tebow should have been a 1st or 2nd round pick IMO, maybe worth a risk in the 3rd but McDaniels was retarded enough to trade for him...

I have to disagree to a certain extent on 1st rounders playing right away, especially QBs. Look at Aaron Rodgers, he sit for three years and learned how the game was supposed to be played.

Thats one guy who sat behind a future HOFer.

Nobody was expecting Tebow to start like Sam Bradford/Matt Ryan/Stafford, but at least play the guy. Tebow has 1 pass for 3 yards and a rushing TD

Orton was putting of HOF numbers for most of this year, thus not giving Tebow a chance. I'm not saying Orton is anywhere close to a HOF QB, but he was on pace for 5,000 yards, something only two QBs have ever done.

I'm not sure about the Kubiak thing, but I think Shanahan did the play calling. I know he did in his later years at Denver but I don't know about when Kubiak was there. And Denver needs help on defense period, not just on the line. We will get Dumervil back next year and I'm hoping they re-sign Bailey, but the latter doesn't look promising. It also depends on whether the new coach keeps the 3-4 or changes to a 4-3 or something else.

This. Not including last Sunday against KC, Orton was having a career year, so there was no need to bring in Tebow. McDaniels used Tebow where he would be best, on the goalline. I'm not in favor of pulling Orton, but I would like to see what Tebow can do, and this Sunday against the Cardinals would be a good time to do so.

I don't recommend him unless you already have all the pieces in place.

He also seems to dig a pretty deep hole before he leaves a team.

alot of first round QBs don't start right away unless the team has noone else or knows it just isnt going anywhere that season. Most of them take a year or two to learn the system and make the transitions needed from their college style play to the pros style (as well as watch and learn a bit from a veteran).
