Because 24/7 has not broken one bit of news and are normally the last outlet to have it, then they post it as premium material. It is a joke.

I actually asked Wes the other day via twitter when the Jaquez Smith injury was breaking was it true and Wes replied back that he hadn't heard anything and Dooley hadn't mentioned it. One Hour later he pots a premium story on what I tipped him off on.

24/7 is a joke in Knoxville, they are behind every story.

If you don't want to subscribe, then don't. I'm not. But why is it such a big deal if someone is 15 minutes ahead or behind on reporting a silly basketball recruit? It's not like they are reporting tornadoes or nuclear attacks.

No, the morons on this site claiming the staff would not accept Richardson's commitment until Ware made his intentions public are the one's who should check Ware's latest news. I was spot on.

I'm not saying you're right or wrong (I personally think he deserved an offer no matter what Ware did), but Richardson just committed days after the rumor broke that Ware was going to UCLA. I think it's the general consensus that Richardson was waiting to visit to commit, but hey, you never know.

just saw Rucker tweet some stuff that it's his job to do that and he appears sad by all the hate.....

Anyhow, Let me put it nicely, Wes' writing is ok, but not worth paying for. As for the timing, I could care less as long as I get the news within a couple days.

His columns were generally pretty good for the Times Free Press and really good for the Beacon back in the day. I'm sure he got a raise to work for 247 and I agree, its not worth paying for. Actually, for me, no sporting news is worth paying for.
