NEW COACH, you going to call into Vol Calls again this monday and ask Fulmer when he's going to retire? Or should I say, John, the 12-year-old from somewhere in middle-ish Tennessee.

Actually - this time are you going to ask him what it feels like to be fired? Sorry just had to bring up the past again NEW COACH, you can't ever live it down.. even though you "said" that was your brother who called in and posted on your username.

"I've liked Tennessee for a long time," Selby said of his decision. "I knew they were going to be one of the schools I was going to focus on after I came to camp down here in June.

"The relationships with the coaches I built up was one of the big reasons I went ahead and committed. My mom and I have gotten to know coach Pearl and coach (Steve) Forbes especially. I've always known I wanted to do it early if I felt like I was ready, and after being down here today I knew I was ready."

So, these guys are class of 2010, right? Who are our other prospects for that class? Too bad Selby won't get a chance to play with Hopson (I'm assuming...)

He may not even see time at the point depending on the progression of West and Craft.

He's from the class of '10 meaning West will be a Junior when he arrives on campus. In regards to Craft, Selby is a much higher rated prospect with about 50 times the potential of Craft. Selby is currently a top 10 player nationally.

its funny if we would of landed 2 top 30 players in football there would be over 200 replies right now but it seems lik who cares... football is still number 1 with everyone still i guess

Basketball will get its time. Its football season and we suck. All the Fulmer haters come out of the woodshed when we suck.

hat, good to hear from you.
did you attend the basketball practices?
your thoughts???
Didn't make it. Had a long Friday night. I'm sure Bruce will do one of these at every home football game. I'll catch the one at the Northern Illinois game.

Yeah, because people who are sick of a coach who hasn't won jack in 10 years are "haters."

I didn't mean "haters," the people who do not like Fulmer are obviously going to come out in droves to express their sentiment.

And what happened to us having no chance with Selby like you said a couple of months back?

we look very long and athletic, i'm wondering if this will make our defense better...
i know our offensive attack wont be the same as the past couple of years, but i'm hoping our defense will create opportunities for these guys to run, and they definitely can finish...

A very good job by the staff and Selby not falling into the DC Assault pattern.I have no problem admitting whan I'm wrong. It happens so infrequently that I can live with it.
