Josh Selby Update

Source Says Selby To Be A Jayhawk

If true, it should say "Selby to play with garbage". Kansas doesn't have much talent left with Collins, Alderich and Henry leaving.

If he picks Kansas, he pry won't even see the Sweet 16. The only reason to go there this season if you're a on year player is to showcase yourself. He will be one of the few highlights in Lawerence this year if that is indeed where he is headed.

Again, thats not the point...

Regardless of when he becomes ready for the next level, because of his character his impact on the program can be tremendously positive.

You do realize that these "red flags" you're speaking of are flying high above Harris (attitude), and there are none for Selby right?

selby won't be too happy if Lamb chooses KU also..Unlike us, KU has some returning players that can do a solid job running the point along with Selby OR Lamb....if they both go, they'll be fighting each other -vs- Tyshawn Taylor

Lamb to UK
Selby to KU

thats the best result to make everyone happy. (and will probably end up like that anyway)

it won't make me happy....you ever consider how i might feel about this whole situation?

hmm. All I've read and seen of Harris is that he's a upstanding young man that has a solid work ethic and motivation to be the best he can at what he works for.

Selby, I hear - "Showboat", "Ball Hog", "No court vision", "Play maker...for himself"

Don't try and say this about Selby now, just because it doesn't look good. Everyone here would be happy if he came, but if he doesn't, don't say you didn't want him.

You also hear terrible things like "he's unguardable." Or that "he was the best player at the McDonald's Game."

I've heard some stuff about his attitude, and Harris outperformed him at the McDonald's game, in my opinion. At least the half he could play. I'm not saying all star games are the best way to judge, though.

Either way, I'd be more than willing to risk attitude problems to land someone like Selby.

I should have specified. I was referring to practice with Selby. The reports were that he and Harris were the best players there.

.

Your damn skippy. Anyone pious enough to try and use the excuse of attitude or reputation problems as a reason for not getting a kid like Selby, isn't credible IMO. You have to take that chance, and roll with the punches.
