The Browns are giving Thursday's start to rookie QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson. Kellen Mond will also play while Dobbs and Deshaun Watson will not play. Thompson-Robinson has looked great in action this year as Dobbs has not looked as sharp. This leaves people wondering if Dobbs may be in danger of being cut. Although I do not have a crystal ball, I would say there is absolutely no way the Browns cut Dobbs. Joshua signed a one year $2M deal with the Browns. The interesting part of his contract is that is is fully guaranteed. Kellen Mond is still on his rookie deal he signed with the Vikings. He is due $1.3M this year, and none of which is guaranteed. It looks to me like Mond may be the odd man out now the NFL allows teams to carry a third QB that doesn't count toward the 46-man active roster limit.

Dobbs handling it like a Pro.

I'm afraid that Titan loss to the jaguars last year may haunt him for some time, or at LEAST until he gets another shot and succeeds.

I felt like the Titans should've kept him this year just as insurance and not traded up to draft Levis but instead drafted Tillman or Hyatt which was a position of need. Finish fixing the offense. Malik actually looked better in the preseason this year so he's picking up something. Tannehill is gone after this season. Depending on where the Titans fall, trade up and go get a QB in the 24 draft and then him and Malik can battle for QB1

Titans now have 2 backup QBs that can’t play.

Dobbs is what he is at this point. He will always be fighting for a roster spot. And I don’t mean that in a bad way. He’s made a great living for himself.

I agree with you. I think, unfortunately, his time in the NFL is coming to a close sooner than later, but he has a lot of options in FB coaching or private industry in aerospace. He will be fine whatever happens.

I dogged Malik last season but he did look better this preseason.
My thing was roll with Tannehill, when he eventually goes down roll Malik in there and it's do or die time and Dobbs is there as insurance.
And then grab another QB in 24. I don't think they should've traded up for Levis

Will always love me some Josh Dobbs, as a VFL, as a human being, and as a ball player.
I agree with others here - he's closer to the end of his playing career than the beginning.
I can see him being a backup with the Browns this season and that's it...and if it is that's probably okay with Josh.

Then he has the hard decision of going into coaching or using his gray space and going into Engineering.
Something in me says he gives coaching a shot.

Especially since Burks has now gone down. Tillman or Hyatt would have come in handy.

It seems to me the Titans are not fans of Volunteer players. Do they ever draft a UT guy? Do they have any on their team?
Serious question as I do not recall any.

I really wish Levis didn’t play for the Titans.

I'm taking it that they firmly believe he is the number 2 guy and don't need to see much else from him. I believe you are right and that Mond will be the one that is cut. DTR has been good.

They drafted Kent, Layman, Mahleno(sp) & Flowers in 2022. Not very many.

Titans not drafting Tillman or Hyatt doesn’t make sense.
Titans being the Titans is the only thing that makes sense sooooo I guess in a way it makes sense since it's the Titans thing to do hahahah
That team still believes in the run run pass punt and D will win the game.
