I do not like JP as a basketball player. I feel he has a terrible basketball IQ, he is injury prone, he turns the ball over way too much, whines about obvious calls, and is an awful shooter.

He has a combined 10 points so far this season against 3 awful teams. Tatum looks much improved and is hitting his shot. Do you see Pear putting JP on the bench anytime soon? I feel like JP plays better off the bench anyways.

I am not a anti-JP guy, but he does play better off the bench. Wasn't he the SEC 6th man two years ago?

I started a thread on this last week. We are a better team with Tatum on the floor with Hopson. That gives us two 3 point threats for teams to deal with. When Prince plays the other team doesn't respect him and we end up playing 4 against 5 on offense.

You need some spark off the bench, so I say keep Cam there. I don't care for his screaming and pointing when he makes a dunk but he isn't as bad as you are making him out to be. He does make good plays in big games from time to time.

I forgot how well JP played off the bench. I like to have someone be able to come in and light it up and when I think of JP that doesn't come to mind. It doesn't really matter if Hopson keeps shooting like he has been.

most players who never play against a lefty are used to trying to block or get their hand up on a right handed player and they get surprised

I am not a JP fan in the least, but tatum off the bench is for scoring and a spark when he comes in the game. Kinda like JR smith for denver. However if they change it wouldn't see me complaining in the least clearly JP is the most frustrating player imo. Never know what he is going to do.....unless he shoots past 15' then we know its an airball :)

I agree JP has earned the right for more Pine Time. I cringed every time he stepped to the free throw line last season, hope that improves. 61% last season and 55% the season before. "Step step step. sit down B"

Why would you mess with the lineup when there is absolutely no reason to? That would be stupid, imo.

Manu Ginobli comes off the bench for the Spurs all the time. It's not because he isn't good enough to start, but because he provides a spark.

O'Neill use to say it doesn't matter who starts it's who finishes. I agree with that statement. It's early and BP will try some different lineups I'm sure. I don't care what JP's stats are this year. He has played a lot for Tennessee and he has made big baskets.

True, the guys have been putting up mad points the past two games and I completely agree with the "if ain't broke don't mess with it" mentality, but we haven't exactly played a Kansas, Memphis, or USC yet (which are coming up soon).

Point being, He would be an excellent sixth man, he's been more productive off the bench throughout his career. He would be that spark player you speak of.

JP will help this team through out the season. If you remember, Tatum looked good against weak teams, but faded against better teams. JP will step up when needed.

I don't have any rotation recommendations, but I agree that it's very frustrating watching Prince on offense.

I think it has more to do with him not attempting as many shots as last yr which is kind of the way T Smith has been playing. Prince is shooting 57% from the field and has a 3:1 assist/TO ratio.

I think it says alot about him as a player that he has been unselfish and not forcing shots just so his stats would look better.
