Im sure ill start a riot by saying this, but I think Jr has a better shot at winning a race this year by missing the chase... look at what Stewart did last year.. hell, the pressures off now, he can try some new setups and strategies without worrying about points... its all or nothing now and I think that will help him... Yes of course I wish he made the chase and contended for the championship, but he didnt... I think he needs to win a race this year before he goes to Hendrick and has even more pressure on him

Junior also officially said good-bye to the Chase this weekend as well.

We'll see, Jr. is pretty far back but it all it takes is some bad luck for Truex or Kurt and he's right back in the hunt to make it...Do I think he'll make it now? No, but it's not impossible by any means:peace2:

I am. I wonder what if they would have made the switch late this season if Kyle Busch would have missed the chase?

As a Dale Jr. fan, I am getting of tired of the "wait until next year" crap. If he gets the same equipment (the best equipment in Nascar) as Jeffy and Jimmie, I expect him to do as well as them and get better results than he has been getting. I really think that he is a great driver and has done the best with what he has been given. Next year, it's time to put up or shut up.

I wonder if Kyle Busch slips up and ends up not making the Chase(fat chance I know) if they will end up swapping rides with 10 to go???
