JT Shrout playing for Buffs

USC doesn’t look good through one qtr of play. But they will win by three-four scores and media will say USC blew out Colorado.

However, the committee advised that they don’t look at the final score, yet each qtr of play and flow of entire game which is why they felt TN loss was worse than it was.

Anyway, off my soapbox. Go Vols, score early and often and leave no doubt. Then hope TCU and OLE Miss lose.

Buff corners are worse than ours. Riley gonna be Riley. He still loves the quick pass to the TE along the edge. Shout is playing awfully awful.

Considering we need Oregon, USC, and UCLA to all get a 2nd loss as insurance against a 12-1 PAC champ jumping us, yeah I think it would be something we need. Maybe not this game, but we don’t want to have to sweat out if a 1-loss conference champ gets in the CFP over us.

You're choosing to sweat it out.

It's pretty obvious if we win out were in.then Unless UGA loses, Ohio State Michigan loser will be behind us.

We jumped Ohio State and Michigan when we were all undefeated. Our strength of schedule was the reason why.

Hey Tulane has one.loss I guess we should worry about them too🙄...

No, it’s not obvious we make it in if we win out. We will need help, period. The committee has made it clear in the past 2 rankings that their reasonings are arbitrary and based on whim. They are also susceptible to criticism (which is why I think TCU was ranked #4 after all the heat they got for them being behind ‘Bama initially).

1) LSU must lose 1 more. If they run the table and were to beat UGA in the SECCG, even as a 2-loss team, they would possibly jump over us.

2) TCU must lose 1. The Big 12 is not valued as strongly by the committee, so 1 loss may be enough.

3) The PAC-12 champ needs 2 losses. Oregon is already receiving the hype, but a 1-loss USC or UCLA would be media darlings.

4) The ACC may be done. Only Clemson and UNC can finish with 1 loss, oddly with both losing to Notre Dame.

5) The issue we will encounter is playing one less game than the Conference Championship teams. We won’t win our conference or our division, so while our resume is still one of the most impressive, we may still get shafted unless other teams lose.

I say #5 happens! I hope not but feel like they are gonna jump us

Seems to me, we'll be in at #3 with a TCU loss or two.
OSU/UM loser will be same boat as us. One loss and no conference championship game. We're in over this team because of SOS/SOR.

1 - UGA
2 - OSU/UM
3 - Tennessee
4 - Oregon/USC

#3 and #4 should be flipped, but they will do this to avoid a UT/UGA, SEC vs SEC playoff game.

UGA vs Oregon in Tempe
UT vs Ohio State in Atlanta

It would be SO beneficial for TCU to lose this weekend and us move up to #4 next week. Once we are back in the Top 4 it becomes more difficult to drop us down without a loss. The longer TCU hangs around and we stay outside the Top 4, the more likely other teams behind us could jump.
