Yes and no, it's still really weird to be texting a recruit even if there's "only" one degree of separation. This is pretty entertaining, though. Wish it'd happened earlier this afternoon because I've been bored af

Any grown man that texts a recruit with no connection to him has some issues.

Niadre Zouzoua, an emerging defensive end at New Rochelle (N.Y.) Monroe Community College, set a trio of official visits for the next month and will also shoe-horn in his season-ending bowl game. The 6-foot-5, 230-pound Zouzoua will officially visit Connecticut this weekend, and will make his official to Tennessee during the first week of December. He will also officially visit Baylor the weekend of Dec. 14 before signing his letter of intent the following week.

Temple is also in the mix for an official visit, but Monroe plays Iowa Central on Dec. 2, so he cannot make a trip that weekend. “I set the UConn one up because it is extremely close to home,” said Zouzoua, who is from Brockton, Mass. “I planned to have Baylor next weekend, but we have a bowl game so it is all eyes on Iowa Central. I look forward to playing them.”

The scheduling change forced Zouzoua to shift his official visit to Baylor to mid December, the week after he takes his trip to Tennessee. “They are talking to me about transitioning me to linebacker,” Zouzoua said. “It is something to think about if I want to pursue that route at the next level. Also, I got a lot of feedback from people about me possibly playing that in the future.”

Zouzoua also likes the idea of playing the SEC. "They’re in a very good conference,” he said. “I heard good things about their coaching staff and it sounds like they could use a little help, so I could have a good chance of playing immediately at a very high level.”

Meanwhile, Baylor has recruited Zouzoua for a while.
