High School -- In his first and only football season, Figueroa made 86 tackles as a senior under head coach Nick Rogers at Cajon High School ... earned 12 sacks, 19 tackles for lost yardage, three pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery, helping the Cowboys to a 7-4 overall mark, including a 5-2 record for third place in the Citrus Belt League and a berth in the Southern Section Division 4 playoffs ... Figueroa, who also received offers from Hawai'i, Army, UTEP and UC Davis, was named to the All-Citrus Belt League first team on defense, was a team captain and was selected to play in the Inland Empire All-Star Classic ... Figueroa did not play football as a junior, opting instead for baseball, and hit .323 with nine doubles, 26 RBI and a .419 on-base percentage ... as a senior, hit .337 with eight doubles, three home runs and 24 RBI ... outfielder and designated hitter stole six bases ... chose to come to Cal Poly to play football "for the ideal location and the amazing educational opportunity" ... made the Honor Roll, earned Principal's Award and is a member of the National Honors Society.

Feeding off of RS’s post, he hasn’t played a lot of football, but he’s a very intense athlete who wants to win. He has the physical attributes. He had the gumption to move on to better competition and has excelled.. I’m sure the coaches can get a better read on him when he visits. Intensity, mobility and toughness he has.....I would really like to see this young man wear 🍊

What are his Juco rankings and star ratings ?

Just barely a 3-star at an 80 rating. 15th at his position, within JUCO.

That all said, he's very raw - just began playing last year of HS. Looks very athletic and quick to my untrained eye. Does he have the power?

Absolutely no surprise he is in JUCO. He is suddenly getting a bunch of D1 offers. Could be a gem, but you never know. With our losses along the DL, we may need to gamble on a JUCO. Already did with Gooden and now Middleton.

Seems pretty excited about that offer. Believe he was down our list a bit but we can probably scratch him off altogether now.

There a bunch of new CBs in on him and Noah Cain. Can anyone check? Looks like penn state for Cain and maybe USCw for Nick.

Unfortunately we don't have #1 DE visiting this weekend, I think we would be a great fit for Johnson!
