With this film hilights yes he is getting offered by everyone. Not only quick but explosive with closing speed. One of those 2 star kids that blew up when they got little older. NFL is full of kids like this. Especially OL position. In CHRIST Alone

Just get this kid. Like this staff can get anyone they want easily.
Apparently not. If they could our LB board wouldn’t be what it is. RG and our offensive staff can get whoever they want, but our LB recruiting and work in the transfer portal leaves a lot to be desired

Yes, Jefferson told me tonight, as a matter of fact, that he plans to visit Tennessee early next week. It will be an unofficial visit, and he has official visits set to Texas A&M and Florida for the final two weekends in June, so read into that what you will. He also was at Alabama — which has offered him — last weekend, and it sounds like the Crimson Tide really impressed him. But that visit next week could be important for the Vols if they're going to be serious contenders for him, because he wants to make a decision by the end of the summer.

Define “must get.” 🙄
He’s the most SEC ready player at what will be our greatest position of need on defense for next season currently on the board. If Telander is the top LB in our class and we’re unable to get guys through the portal over the next couple of seasons our LB room is going to be atrocious once Banks and Mitchell are gone, and 2023 and 2024 are going to be the years where we find out if we really are on our way back to where we’ve tried to get for the past 20 years. The importance of getting a guy like this that can come in immediately and make an impact until Herring, Perry, Spillman, and Telander develop can’t be stressed enough. He may not ever been an all SEC LB for us, but he could get meaningful snaps this fall for the current roster we have

Banks can comeback in 23. Maybe Mitchell can?

Mitchell can maybe take a redshirt for last season.

So we may only lose Solon Page for 23.
Have a feeling Banks will be off to the NFL after this season though.

Offer him a mid six figure NIL deal. This guy is a must get for this class, and we can’t lose him to Bama

Strong agree

"One of the guys that blew the doors off Alabama‘s camp, per sources, is junior college linebacker Justin Jefferson. After a strong season last year at Pearl River C.C. in Mississippi, he jumped on Alabama‘s radar. Plus a big spring game a few weeks back had the Tide very excited about his ability. He’s flashed for a few months, and at Alabama’s camp he absolutely wowed, per sources, and quickly became one of the Tide’s top prospects at the position. Per one source, he’s got instant-impact ability, and at this early stage Alabama is in the middle of things, with Pete Golding leading the way for UA. Others in play are Oregon, Texas A&M, and Florida at the moment."

-Bama 247 yesterday

If Bama thinks he has instant impact ability with their talent and depth, then he's clearly got the same here and more. If Spyre/Heupel are going to be strategic about how they spend NIL money across the roster then surely they know that LB is a weak spot and a guy like Jefferson is where you invest.

Obviously next week's UV is HUGE for us. Need to crush it so we can get him back on campus again before he commits.

Does it seem like to anyone else that the linebacker (and possibly running back) recruiting is the most lackluster thus far in the 2023 class? (I'm including Herring as an edge rusher/d-lineman) Not saying it won't be better, but perhaps Jean-Mary is a better talent developer than recruiter. This isn't necessarily a criticism, just an observation.
