The G5 and all the smaller FBS schools are def taking the place of a lot of these JUCOs Bc of the portal.

Rightly so for the most part but not every case.

All Americans at the bowl sub division level are probably better risks. I'm not saying there aren't tremendous players at the JUCO level, Jeffrey Simmons and Jesse Mahelona come to mind, but so many struggle for whatever reason or another.

A lot of great Vols have come from the JuCo ranks. Alvin Kamara, Cordarrelle Patterson, Charlie Garner, Dale Carter, Leonard Little, just to name a few. Definitely been more.

The players you just named were athletes. I should've clarified I am talking about lineman. We've had good linemen and we've had some that never saw the field.
