'21 JUCO RB Tiyon Evans

The RBs at UCF didn’t take unnecessary hits…. Because they didn’t dilly dally in the backfields they saw a hole and turned on the jets. Kid is a pre-Madonna

Again UCF had a better OL than UT due to better OL recruiting and no NCAA investigation causing guys to leave. Has nothing to do with dilly dallying. There's a reason the kid was the leading rusher.

No what he said was with the extreme spread formations allow the interior of the defense aka front 7 to key in and the Rb takes a lot of unnecessary extra hits.
He plays a violent game in a physical league at a position that takes as many hits as anyone on the field... Kid better man up if he has any aspirations to play in the NFL.

I truly believe all this boils down to fit. I don't think his expectations matched what the Vols expectations are/were. It just wasn't a match. Best if he finds a place that matches his expectations. Best for both parties. For his sake I hope it's Louisville.

I dont see how the bad OL excuse fits with the YPC of every back on the team. The carries were pretty spread out and not one single back got run in the ground. Sounds like excuse to me. Of the backs that got considerable carries Wright had the lowest YPC with 5.2. That doesn't equate to getting hit in the backfield a ton to me.

Thank you and I agree with this 100% fit is everything

Yeah and apparently the kid was upset he wasn’t the starter…. Which means he would of taken more hits…. Lol need him to make his mind up.

With the extreme spread offenses, there is no such thing as a front seven. It’s a front 6 normally and it’s a smaller front six hitting him than he will get in a a none spread offense.

Hilarious the excuse people will make for the kid. He was a rising star in SEC that is now at Louisville. You can’t make all the excuses you want or listen to whatever excuse he has…. The reality of the situation is if there was nothing wrong with his situation he would be going to another SEC school. He isn’t because he cant. He jumped at his first opportunity because he has to because he has to get moving on improving his academics ASAP to get into one of the least strict schools when it comes to academics for athletes. It gives him his best chance to get eligible next season. He screwed up its on him. Nonsense about oh we stay hurt because the OL? Gtfo. OL didn’t land on his ankle. OL doesn’t cause shoulder injuries to Small. It’s called being a RB. No wonder staff was done with his cry baby diva act

I think that may be the dumbest excuse I’ve seen. RBs get hit regardless. Heck if anything this scheme keeps people from hitting you for a while. Look at freaking Lenesth Whitehead of all people running untouched until 2/3rd levels in games. What playmaker doesn’t want space? He enjoyed system just fine when he was breaking 60 to 90 yard runs. Then now he is not willing to own up to hisnissues

I've heard all the reasons/excuses for the transfer and seeing how things played out, none of them make sense. I'm calling bs. He came in this spring with a bum ankle, and he still has a bum ankle. Our scheme didn't cause that. Louisville runs a spread offense as well. I think the kid has been getting horrible advice from someone. I hope it works out for him because he's got a child that these decisions will affect greatly. But, I just don't see this having a storybook ending.

Not a single hand touched him on his 92 yarder against Mizzou.

People it was more than the sprain ankle.

I might buy it if he wasn’t such a drama queen about everything in the locker room….. I don’t think anyone over at Tennessee is regretting him leaving….. I do agree that we need to build better offensive line depth though.
