And how do you know this guy can help us win?
He’s got the Afro dreads.

Edit: but for real, “Brown is originally from Maryland but traveled out west to California to attend Fresno C.C. As a freshman at Fresno, Brown finished the 2019 season with 6 interceptions, one of which he returned for a score, 24 total tackles and he recovered one fumble.”

I'm starting to wonder if they've found some way to somewhat work around scholarship restrictions using midyear transfers.

No. I hear what you're saying, but he signed and went through Spring with the program.
He was part of the team.

I think we are pretty decent at safety right now, but Heupel may feel differently.

I haven't even looked at this kids filmz so I don't know how good he is...

Why do you feel decent about safety?

Heupel said he wouldn't take any players from UCF..
Good. Maybe Heupel will also see that it takes more than 3* players/transfers to consistently compete in the SEC. 3* at UCF is great. But 3* at the Power 5 not exactly the same. Just look at Scott Frost after he left UCF and what kind of success he is actually having.

Ummm, I'm sure his plan is to prove he can win the SEC and NC using only low 3* players.

He's played defense before.
Of he could just be a wasted scholarship, since we will really be needing them more than other schools in the near future....lets just go ahead a waste one.

You all wanted that scrub DB from Tulsa who in 4 years in a pass happy league could not intercept the ball once...

Is he better than
McDonald
Slaughter
Fields
Charles??

Not to mention the guys we will recruit in 2022 and beyond.

It's not about stars. UCF has produced NFL DBs recently, that were certainly better than what we had in Knoxville.

But some people on here thinking every player in the Transfer Portal is better than what's on roster is just asinine.

It's like impulse shopping...
Freaking consumer America 🙄

Who would have thought Martinez would prooduce more NFL drafted DBs in the 3 yr period than Pruitt did.

This kid is not it, but the DB from Tulsa is a definite take. I think we’d be pursuing him harder if he wasn’t a 1 to play 1 player
