Four-star defensive back Marquise Gilbert of Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College, the No. 1 junior-college safety in the 247Sports Composite rankings for the 2022 class, now is just hours away from making his college decision known. He’s set to announce his choice Monday night at 7 Eastern time, and sources close to his recruitment have continued to indicate that he’s expected to choose between Auburn and Tennessee. The Tigers have received all four predictions on the 247Sports Crystal Ball.

Sources have indicated that Auburn feels good about its chances of landing the 6-foot-2, 178-pound Gilbert, a Florida native who’s coming off an official visit to Florida State over the weekend. But it’s still too early to count out the Vols, with some sources close to his recruitment still believing Tennessee has a shot leading up to his announcement.
