it was said they met him and talked and became friends, he didn't know who they were. He took them out fishing a couple times and was not a booster or anything.

The NCAA should move their offices to tuscaloosa....Easy access then....And so goes another episode of "Bammer in the slammer"

Just a question....How many 57 year old men in the state of Alabama do you really think have no idea that Julio Jones is a football player?

I am not sure, but the fact that the guy says he knew them for a long time, and is a fan of another SEC team, but did not know they played football for BAMA is were the flags came out. If you watch SEC football I don't care who you cheer for, you know who Jones is. Even more so if you have known him for a long time. Maybe I am wrong.

I heard the old guy was the only one to catch anything. I think it was crabs.

I bet Josh Briscoe was back at Pigeon Forge texting this man like crazy...

"When we going fishing (then insert sexual innuendo)?"

I bet he then got frustrated and then just text one of his players instead....

lmao...

This story is so typical of the NCAA, but I love Bama's and the guy's answers to the accusations.

I think he axed him if he preferred a 4" power craw, or a 10" lizard.

They got a free fishing trip...valued between $300-$800. This is in clear violation of NCAA rules the same as why the local Ford dealer can't provide Expeditions to players at no charge. Remember, BB was in High School and these guys are current Alabama players.

He already has an Escalade. Got it when he committed.

I posted this same thread about a week ago, and got reamed by some responders.
Just friends?? 19 year old black guy and a 57 year old white guy--Hmmm---AND the guy said he didn't even know Julio was an Alabama football player. ROTF.

The fishing trip would have cost several hundred $$$.....this is the concern. But, per the post above, curious how a highschool student receives an 60K SUV....if true.

I say it is time for the NCAA to break Bama from the habit. Take away their TV and Bowls and see if that will get them in line and away from trying to cheat. I just dont understand why no one can get control of that program.

Went on a hunting trip in southern AL in the late 80's. Alabama's O line and J. Barker were there. The plantation belonged to some big paving co.
