LMAO

He's right. 16 of their 22 starters are returning next year, and mostly defensive guys are leaving. Pete Carroll can make a great defense out of any squad, and if Norm Chow stays... Forget about it. I'm already predicting USC will play for the national title next year.

Since you brought up SI, does anyone have a copy of the "College Football Weekends" On Campus issue from this fall? I'd like to frame it with my National Champions issue. . . .

I hope all the "experts have the same opinion as you Milo and we end up playing USC ....so many "powerhouses" of the past were supposed to wipe the floor with us and they were suprised!

Well... Looking at it in retrospect, if Leinart comes back, they will be unstoppable. I know there has been a lot of talk on ESPN about USC this year, and maybe next year as contender to be the greatest team of all time, it might be true. If Matt Leinart comes back, they are looking at being three-peat national champions under what is essentially the same squad. That is flat-out unprecedented.

But, I will hope that I can up the number of teams in my sig to 12 or 13 next year, and Tennessee will give USC the fight of a lifetime.

I sure hope so but LSU is gonna be tough to play down there in Death Valley.....They always are...But we're gonna be AWESOME next year so I'd say you're just about right....don't forget UAB too....you can put them in your signature :good:

I don't think that death valley poses any major threat for us. LSU fans would like you to believe that it is more hostile than it really is. Just remember, LSU is not the "the program" just because they have had some recent success. I think that the Vols will have a good time in "death valley" next year.

That Notre Dame game will tough next year now that Cutcliffe is there. He knows how Fulmer thinks and is very familiar with our playbook. I look for that one to be like the Ole Miss game.

Well, don't get me wrong, LSU will be a very good team next year I guess. I am just tired of MOST LSU fans thinking that their program has always been the best and most consistent team in the SEC. If you ask me, it is about time that they started earning their keep in this conference.

how do we beat this USC squad with Lienhart returning? Can't see it.

Beat Leinart the same way you beat a quarterback like David Greene (19-14), Donovan McNabb (34-33), .... or evev Vinny Testaverde (35-7) to name a few.

Southern Cal played great against Oklahoma. However, the Sooners gave up a ton of yardage down the stretch this season.... so the blowout was no surprise to me. USC should have been playing Auburn... just like they should have played LSU last year.

One great game does not make a team unbeatable. I watched USC several times this season, and the game against Oklahoma by far was their best performance. They looked very beatable against Virginia Tech, Stanford (yes, 4-7 Stanford), Oregon State, and UCLA to name a few.

Despite Milo's opinion on Norm Chow's career moves.... there was a nice article I read over the holidays where Chow stated he wants a head coaching job bad... just not at Kentucky (he turned them down last year). The jobs he's been up for have all been on the west coast. It was also mentioned that there might be racial bias as to why he is not already a head coach?
