Racial bias? I dunno. Chow does want a job bad, but it is becoming too late to take one up around now, and I can't think of any worth-while ones that are open. Besides, if his team is looking that good going into next year, he can wait a little bit. As if Chow needs anymore validation of his coaching abilities, three-peat national titles, which USC is looking at being able to do, three-peat national titles could land him any job he wants.
As for USC looking beatable, let's look at their close games:
Virginia Tech Was down by three going into the half, 10-7 VaTech. Came out in the second half and allowed one 42 yard field goal. Hokies did not get close to the endzone at anytime in the second half.
Stanford was completely shut out in the second half, USC allowed them to do nothing. USC brought up the winning score well within the fourth quarter.
Oregon State had jumped out to a 13 point lead, until Leinart and Bush led the Trojans on a 28 point run. Derek Anderson managed a 36 yard TD bomb in the end to bring the score to 28-20.
The UCLA game was the only case you can make for this one. First of all it's a rivalry game, one of those "Any given Saturday" situations. Sort of like it was looking like Alabama had a good shot at beating Auburn in the Iron Bowl this year, at the half.
