Remeber that this staff (Pruitt and all the way down, including recruiting office) were behind on prospects for this 2019 cycle. Recruiting for the 2020 cycle has been going on but is really just now picking up steam with evaluations and what not. The 2020 cycle is when this staff will be on equal footing with other staffs. If you thought this class was good, wait till next year when we are on a level playing ground.....

No quite the opposite. Buckle up
If our defense and offense can sustain, and they come to play, watch out Georgia and Floridaz We will shock them this year. If we play against Georgia like we did last year at Athens, then we can beat them at home. Our defense is going to be stronger this year. We won’t turn the ball over 6 times this year at the swamp either. I think we play with both teams this year, and we can beaten both. Now, I’ve said it before, I think I’m the only one on this board that thinks that. I’m probably the only one left on an island to think that.🤣👍

In your defense, OD, I think we played a great game against UGA on the road all things considered. We just ran out of gas towards the end, especially in the front 7. We had a chance to steal that one. The turnovers against Florida really sucked the life out of that game for us moreso than them out right beating us. It’s a much closer game without those and who knows who wins.

Right, and I know it is, what if this would’ve happened or that, but if we could’ve found some points in the 1st half that would’ve been great. I believe in the back of their minds, and Pruitt’s that they are still thinking about those six turnovers, especially the ones on offense. If I’m a head coach, I never stop thinking about those turnovers, and trying to figure out how to beat Florida first. That can be accomplished.

Like the message but at this point I’m good with beating SC, Miz, KY, Vandy, MsSt, and our OOC slate which will give us 9 wins. Gotta get back to beating down our historic “should win” teams. I just don’t see UF win at this point. If we get Wright and he and Morris are starting at UF, it will be their first SEC game and even top notch guys need time to adapt.

This class is ok, nothing special, outside of the OL position. Middle of the pack in the SEC. Also, recall how both Saban and Smart fared with their second recruiting classes....both were #1 in the country iirc. We currently sit at 16th on 247 with very litttle to no chance of cracking the top 10.

Maybe. Maybe not. You are the only 10 year old that thinks that though.

I think this class is really good. Solves the main weakness on the team especially if we get Wright adds bodies to the Dline as well. We needed 1 RB this cycle, DBs also now are set for next 2 years. QB was elite 11. Need more more LB and would have liked Bogle or another quality DE.

Have no complaints though with this class. I expect next year a bigger focus on WRs, RBs and OLBs. QB should be set.

Comparing apples to oranges imo...UGA is an easier place to recruit with their in-state talent. They were consistently recruiting Top 10 classes (think the average recruiting classes was #6 before Smart got there) so they already had a lot of talent. Saban had a championship as a HC prior to coming to Bama so he could sell that, and they weren’t as lacking in the combination of S&C and talent/depth as we were. Not to mention coming off the worst season in program history.

Agree. This class isn’t flashy but builds a great foundation at a crucial position we have seemed to struggle at for years.

We have to find some difference makers to rush the QB in the 20 class. Jordan Davis is a good start, but will need much more.
