Don't you think that what talent Mitchell does have is being magnified by Spurrier's system?

I'd be willing to bet we'd be sitting here talking about how pitiful he is if he were in our system.

Mitchell was an Elite 11 QB coming out of HS...so the kid was good coming in. He'll be very good when he's done at SC.

There's no doubt that Spurrier's system has a lot to do with it, but I really think that Blake Mitchell is a good QB and would be good in most systems. Our problems go deeper than one position, but having a credible downfield threat at QB would have gone a long way.

I know he and Fulmer are close but I wonder if there is talk behind the scenes that if things don't work out within a year if Cut is working on protection for himself if sweeping changes are made. I don't like to think this about people but I see if there was another disappointing year, there would be a loud call for more blood. I just don't see Cutcliffe coming on board with that much risk in getting kicked out in a wide sweep within a year.
