Yep, I think in at least 1 poll they were 23rd but they did lose their QB but the narrative on here is to be a pessimist. Misery loves company. Also a lot on here said UTSA would beat us and I was called out when I made my hardest to easiest teams. I had UVA & Vandy above UTSA but they said I was wrong big time.Even though they've not lived up to their billing, UTSA was considered a top-25 team before the season started, so I wouldn't say they were perceived as a rinky-dink team prior to week one.
Stop…you’re going to make me bust out crying. You’re delusional if you think this team has 9 wins this year. This bunch don’t have it. Maybe next year. Charleston gave Florida more of a fight than we did.You should turn in your fan card and go follow OSU or some other team that won't disappoint you on a weekly basis.
Find sone joy in your life and see the forest not the trees.
These games are important for both teams involved. For the power 5 schools, it gives them the opportunity to rest starters and banged up players, and most important, it gives their backups a lot of live game experience on tape that they can learn from. On the flip side, for the mid major schools, these games PAY for their athletic budgets for ALL of their sports for the year. These games allow for some of the schools to offer and keep men and women sports at their schools. These games do have valueIs it time to maybe take a look at whether or not it's even worth it to play these rinky dink teams? It seems like they consistently do bush league stuff and play dirty. They know they can't win so they try to ruin a major program's season by hurting its players. That face mask on Nico was BS and the refs should be fired for not making that call. Seriously???? How the heck do you miss that? I guarantee the refs would have thrown a flag on us in the swamp if we face masked their QB that blatantly.
I was about to post this as well. Building depth is a biggie in playing these games. What grinds my gears is that we piddle around and don't get "a big enough lead" to risk playing youngsters sometimes. Playing your starters well into the 4th quarter of these games does take some shine off the apple in games like this. These games are important for both teams involved. More than the missed call, I'm dumbfounded at how CJH was so nonchalant about it. I would've been livid and probably gotten a 15 yard penalty for my actions.Refs are missing so many calls this season or just don't care. A lot of holding calls could've been called against their offensive line yesterday. How you miss someone ripping a face mask like that? Could've been a serious injury.
Agree, these games are important for the backups. Their first action doesn't need to be against the fire of SEC competition. These games give confidence to the young guys.I was about to post this as well. Building depth is a biggie in playing these games. Oh my bad, I accidentally typed Charleston instead of Charlotte. I hope that powerhouse Charlotte doesn’t get offended. Boy you sure got me there yuck yuck yuck. Obviously my dead on point bothered you. When did Florida play Charleston?
