Since you don't follow recruiting then you have no idea what you are taking about. Cause basically you are saying just give out a scholarship to anyone with the hope that they develop. The last coach did that and got us in this mess now.

I'm sorry. Did I say I don't follow recruiting at all?

Reading comprehension.

...and when it comes to QB's - yes. You do get what you can and hope they develop. That's standard practice for all programs.

Not an easy task when you have a Senior, two Sophomores and a Freshman already on the roster. Problem is the one with the most talent decided to walk away. Personally I think we will be fine at QB not great but better then most think.

RF was not the most talented.

It's freaking training camp! Practice! All the players have things being thrown at them right and left, repetition after repetition! We'll be alright once the game starts. Some around here need to take a chill pill and step away from the practice updates for a few days... Good grief....

You're fighting a losing battle my friend. It's going to be like this until the season starts. It gives people something to talk about

Was Worley great last year? No.

But he did get better with each game and played well against USC and GA. GA gave him a lot of confidence.

Will he ever sling it like Bray or run like Tee or be the next Casey Clausen? No.

But he can beat USC obviously and he would have gotten us to a bowl game with a much worse team.
Maybe he should tell the press he can beat the cocks with one arm tied behind his back

As good as this class was - it was a big mistake not taking a QB.

Next year we will be loaded at every position but QB which will probably hold us back another year. I'm praying Jennings and Dormandy are EE's. Maybe then we will make a push for the East.

Still looks like '16 is the year. Should have playoffs on the mind by then.

EE JUCO QB maybe??

I've never made a negative comment about CBJ before, but I think by now he should have found a way to get a better QB on the roster than Worley.

Fire away.
There was a better one on the roster in Ferguson. I don't think the coaches saw his nonsense coming back during recruiting season. There were other needs to address then.

Maybe if he had CLK like Crompton did he could be!

I think North made catches 95% of SEC WR's couldn't have made. This helped us in the few games we won more so than QB play. Worley seemed to get better, i guess. Hope he continues to get better. Hope all the QB's get better.

I feel the addition of Hurd, Von, Wharton, Malone and a hopefully improved defense are being over looked and forgotten about when discussing QB play and progression from last season to this season.

Once the future opponents got film of our Oline getting very little push for the run game and not having a bigger and fast back (insert Jalen Hurd) they were able to primarily focus on stopping what few play makers we did have. Also knowing we were NEVER going to pitch the ball on the read option didn't help. Our Oline may be inexperienced so I won't say we won't see ANY drop off, but I'm also not afraid to say I never felt our Oline won us any ball games last year.

With added help (SPEED) on D the return of Maggitt, AJ returning for a senior season, moving Coleman to nickel Sutton growing into a big time corner O coordinators aren't going to want to throw at much with Jenkins, Randolph, Bates, Berry(s) all will help our D tremendously compared to the last 4 or 5 years. The D being able to get the ball back to the O without giving up points will help with play calling and time of possession which are key for the QB to be successful.

A full year with the same coaches and same play book, working on the same drills, with the same receivers and adding a couple of really really talented guys is going to help whoever comes out of camp as the starter period.

The most helpful addition may be the Tight Ends really being upgraded this year with two very serviceable freshman that will give us a great dimension we pretty much had none of last season. If you don't think TE is a serious weapon and noting having one last season didn't hurt us just google some New Orleans Saints highlights from last season....Jimmy Graham,Tony Gonzalez, The Great Witten, Gronk.... TE's can really really help the run game also if you have to account for them in the pass game and they can seal an edge it's a huge asset.

I'm not so much in anyone's camp at this point. I liked what Dobbs was able to do with his feet at times. I think Worley was and will be serviceable. Worley's the senior anyone saying to go with Dobbs cause he's the future doesn't know the agony of the last 5 years +, if Worley can win us 6 ball games and a Bowl game play Worley every damn play every game. On the flip, if Peterman has the footwork to assist himself getting the ball out to Pig and North and Croom & Co. then I am also all for Peterman because if anyone thinks we aren't going to ride this group of WR's success the entire season you're mistaken very sadly.

Not sure about Jennings but Dormady definitely is.

I agree wholeheartedly!!!! The coaches need to stop blaming the players and coach!!! The coaches need to be accountable instead of blaming the payers every time they turn around. The coaches need to be on the hot seat not the players. For example, Riley Ferguson is like a different person now that he has left the Vols!! He looks awesome. Come on coaches do your job and earn your money. The coaches need to take ownership!!

Damn people it's freakin practice. Players aren't supposed to be held accountable in practice? Why would a coach take the blame in practice? That makes no sense at all.

I still think if he starts the FLA game, they very well may have won. Same as the last few games of the year. They probably would have at least gotten to a bowl game.

Worley will start the year as the number one. No one knows if he can or will keep that spot, but as a senior, we have likely seen his upside, so he will need to avoid turnovers and manage the game like a senior QB should be able to for UT to win 6-7 games. The two soph QB's might surprise at some point, but then you have to live with the youthful mistakes that cost games if it gets to that point.

College HCs who follow that practice are the guys who end up in the unemployment line...or coaching WRs for the Dallas Cowboys.

you must be reading something that I haven't seen.Have never seen CBJ blame the players for anything.Just that they need to learn his system.
