i think harbaugh wants to go to the nfl and he and al davis are actually good friends. his wife apparently loves the bay area too. unless they have an agreement for harbaugh already ironed out, i'd suggest seeing if rodriguez can turn it around.

Kelly - Cincinnati
Harbaugh - Stanford
Ferentz - Iowa
Petersen - Boise State
Gary Patterson - TCU

I do agree with the people that believe Rich Rod will get the ball rolling with more of his recruits in place but let's face it, it's Michigan. If Tennessee beats Vanderbilt and loses to Kentucky to finish 6-6. How happy would our fans be if he finishes 7-6 or 6-7 next year? I am willing to be patient but we're talking about Michigan here. Losing to App State at home. Winning 3 games was it? Now they may finish .500. That's three years of being embarrassed. Two under Rich Rod.

I think it would be hilarious if Michigan fired Rich Rod to fire Ferentz. That would go down as fail of the century.

He was the hottest coach out there two, three years ago. It is funny the business of a football coach. Saw that other thread where USC folks are mad at Pete C! Football fans are hard to please.

Rich Rod should have never left West Virginia. It takes a Pat White type QB to run his offense proficiently and he just doesn't have it at Michigan. IMO, Pat White is the best spread QB ever and yes, that includes Timmy boy. Pat White got him the job at Michigan and not having Pat White will get him fired.
Forcier has looked good enough to do it. The problem is the good players are too young and the upper classmen aren't good enough. They are only going to get better.

Good chance this happens. While I won't be ecstatic, I'm also a realist and know that we're still a year or two from being where we should be talent wise.

RR will be ousted not just bc of the poor record, but bc he is just not a fit there. Fans, alumni, Board all hate him. The record is an excuse to just move on.

The bidding on Brian Kelly will be intruiging. Maybe they go after Les Miles again?? Harbaugh seems like the obvious choice.
Michigan is just not ready to do what Bama and us finally did......go outside the program.

That would be fun to watch.

Michigan needs to get better, osu needs some competition in the big 10(11), just as tejas needs some competition in the limp 12.
Yeah, because Texas has won the Big 12 with such regularity under Mack Brown.

I want Miles to continue to slowly run LSU intto the ground. It's happening. Michigan looks like they're doing exactly what Kentucky did with BCG last year.

It would be quite hilarious if Michigan fired Rodriguez after only two years while he's in the process of getting his players in to run his system only to hire some other guy who runs a, let's say, pro style offense. After the new guy posts a couple sub par records while trying to mold the players on hand to his system as well as recruiting a different set of guys... then what?
