I'm on Roku. Never had to put in a provider for ESPN+. Just checked with my Dad's Spectrum login put into the espn app and it works fine. Everything else is blacked out though. You sure you aren't using the wrong feed? SECN+ and ESPN+ are listed separately. The SECN+ one would need a cable provider.I don’t know how. No matter what I watch it ask me for my TV provider regardless if I watch ESPN+ it ESPN. But I have Xfinity so I’m good. But I know people yesterday that was hot because they have ESPN+ subscription and would not allow them to watch the game. I also have a family member that downloaded the spectrum app on her smart TV and it let her stream it live through the app. Non of it makes sense to me.
The problem is that Disney won’t let Charter offer a bundle like that. They are saying that Charter has to offer their customers all or nothing when it comes to the Disney owned channels; that’s one of the sticking points in this dispute. Now Texas -v- Bama on ESPN this weekend and this mess is still not cleared up. Spectrum! Just offer ABC/ESPN etc and allow the consumer to decide if they want it. Geez!!!
