A few months ago I read an article saying SPYRE was the # 1 collective.

Those NIL values ARE NOT actual amounts. They are estimates based on some kind of convoluted formular that someone came up with. Most NIL amounts are not published by the player or collective.

To further expand on the thread, how does Tennessee rank compared to other programs?

Tennessee is just as competitive in the NIL space as any major national brand. There is a misunderstanding though in how NIL is actually working. The NIL deals that are actually moving the needle have more to do with individual marketability and team brand recognition. Example: Hyatt scored 5 td’s against Bama, emerges on the national scene, wins the Biletnikoff then signs a deal with Hyatt Hotels… Hendon was a marketable starting QB tied to a national brand, Heisman front runner, etc…

Truth: If you are a 5* offensive tackle with no personality or personal brand appeal; NIL is going to be really disappointing for you… That is going to be the case for the vast majority of these athletes.

Bama before it was legal. That's why Saban is ticked off it's legal. Now other programs will (have already) pass them up in regards to pay for play.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if Bammers lead the charge to try and suppress or regulate NIL across sports.
👆all day. Now that “paying players” is on a level field and it’s made his life incredibly hard. The whole damn state is/was in on it. From the team ball boys to the Gov they paid kids.
Now that we can too, they lose their leverage

Hyatt signed with Everett Sports Marketing.

Tennessee wide receiver Jalin Hyatt makes notable NIL move

Hyatt joins an NIL roster at ESM stacked with talent. The sports marketing agency currently represents Stetson Bennett, Brock Bowers and the Cavinder twins. All four have emerged as some of the most successful athletes in the space, with Bennett and the Cavinders closing in on seven figures of earnings.

Alabama still has the #1 class though somehow.

They were able to sell immediate playing time after this year's hot mess.

Recruits signing this year are apparently buying that Nick will be there at age 76?

Doubt that they can sell that much longer

How's that working out?

Bottom line it’s all about getting the best QB for your system. You can get all4 & 5 * and Miss on your two 5* QBs and you struggle. Perfect example terrible HC @ Auburn loaded with talent $$bought$$ Cam Newton Natty Cam gone Coach fired next QBs sucks struggling to 6& 6.

I don't think many understand just how deeply it runs in Bama. Goes all the way to the government level in regards to their level of cheating. Only time anything has been "brought up" for public knowledge is when NCAA can't hide it.

Do enough digging and research and you can see how deep their cheating goes.

When you can sell Saban’s track record of getting players paid and into the 1st round; NIL doesn’t matter quite as much. Most of these kids committing to other schools based on NIL promises are going to be sorely disappointed by reality.
Until Alabama stops raking in Top 3 classes folks need to pump the brakes thinking the future outlook for them is glum in recruiting under any theory.
