I looked it up. The movie was first shown Nov of 1972. I graduated Winter Quarter in March 1972. I got married that year and moved to New Haven Ct. I am not sure if we had a tv at that time. If so, we probably got 3 channels. I remember having a tv in the 2nd house that we rented in 1974, but I'm not sure we had one. I know we couldn't hardly afford much of anything, as my first wife was getting her Master's at Yale.Came out the year you graduated - you were probably "studying"
How about this? As a kid I thought Carl Kolchak was a BMF.... I couldn’t believe he wasn’t scared of anything
Those are the words of a cynic. There are many who live long enough for true wisdom to lead them back.
There's still hope for you and a handful of others on here.
That’s 100% true. The lack of self reflection is shocking. Especially with our own lawyers who participate on here.Yeah, I just decided to give up. I remember now why I've been spending less time here. The headaches just aren't worth it. Some people just always have to be the victim, and it always has to be someone else's fault.
We would walk home about a mile from the cowboy movies on Sat. sometimes at the theater downtown.I grew up in the 50s when a kid could safely walk from home to a movie and have a great afternoon for 25 cents; it's not hard at all to be cynical of what I see today.

For any of you leftists out there struggling to cope with RBG’s death or TDS there is help out there.

I grew up on Navy Bases in the '80's. We'd ride our bikes everywhere, play backyard football all the time. Saturday nights we'd go to the skating rink, maybe catch a movie at the on base theater. Every thing we needed was on that base, and there was a genuine sense of community. I miss the simplicity of it.We would walk home about a mile from the cowboy movies on Sat. sometimes at the theater downtown.
I can also remember seeing The Pit and the Pendulum and The Creature from the Black Lagoon, and having the crap scared out of me. I was probably 10 or so.
Since I've given up on politics, all the hand wringing, pearl clutching, sky is falling, and hypocrisy are really funny. The left needs to accept that this appointment is going to happen. Mitch and the GOP are not going to pass up a chance to get another conservative on the SCOTUS bench. It might not happen by election day, but it will happen before January.
