Haha. This isn’t the make-a-wish foundation
I have always thought that the President should get his picks confirmed. I have also thought that they shouldn't be until death do us part.the funny thing about this is that most people would agree a POTUS pick should get a vote.
The Dem position is that a POTUS pick shouldn't get a vote because Garland didn't. IOW it's the "he started it" argument.
The principle on display is "if they get to do it, we get to do it".
Nothing noble about that.
What would be the noble thing to do?the funny thing about this is that most people would agree a POTUS pick should get a vote.

So let’s play it out and avoid the Garland controversy. This is a red herring. That doesn't have anything to do with not even giving Merrick Garland's nomination a vote, which is what is at the heart of this controversy.
LOL. It would be a priority of any President who had the good fortune of having their party in control of the Senate while seats were open. Senate rules had changed (and yes, that was Reid's fault) which allowed for this to happen. Trying to sell that as an achievement of Trump's is ridiculous if you know anything at all about how the judiciary is filled.
Nothing is quite as inconsequential as a peace deal between Bahrain and Israel. What about Iran? Trump has not even addressed them as a threat.
I would love to know where Trump stands in your "upper tier" of American Presidents ranking. Is he in front of Herbert Hoover but behind Richard Nixon? Where are Rutherford B. Hayes and Jimmy Carter in your list? Lord knows they're in the same tier as Trump.
