Justin Hunter Getting some love on ESPN

Not trying to rain on the parade here, but Hunter dropped back under 200 lbs (according to Charles Davis) to ensure a fast time. Julio ran a 4.42 at 220, not 196. And on a fractured foot.

Hunter is more like A.J. Green than Julio Jones.

Completely agree. Not sure why McShay chose to compare him to Jones rather than Green other than the fact that their measurable numbers were virtually identical. I think Hunter is kind of a poor man's AJ Green

Hunter will be a more vocal version of Marvin Harrison.
Great WR, athletic, profilic but hates being hit. I think he will eventually, like Marvin seek to minimize and avoid contact. Which bit by bit will affect his production. He muscle up which I hope he does but wonder if it will cut into his speed and leaping ability.

That's a pretty good comparison. I think Hunter will do just fine in the NFL.

If Hunter had ZRo's heart, he'd be an undeniable top-10 pick. Unfortunately, he caught Jamal Lewis disease his last year and put up reasonable numbers but was too guarded to be all-world (which he had all the tools and a QB to do it with). JMHO

What????

I'm still not seeing the issue with getting yourself down before the tackle to avoid the hits? This is seen aaallllllll over the NFL, so quit acting like he's not "NFL tough" or something. You people are ridiculous. JHunter is going to have a fine career, and the scouts will never think twice about him "laying down" before hits, because thats what NFL RECEIVERS DO

I think the reason some people see JH as laying down is because 442 of his 1083 yards and 7 of his 9 TDs came against:

Akron
Georgia State
Troy

He was much better against quality opponents when compared to CP and I think JH will have a much better NFL career.

However.

It completely depends on where he goes. I think he'd do very well going to a San Fran or Seattle. Proven young QB he can work with for multiple years.

Dude was coming off a torn ACL, had a kid and knew he was going pro after the season, so he was gonna do whatever it took to NOT get injured again. Jmo

I personally don't believe Justin didn't lay down this past season. But I did see him play to not get hurt, everyonce in a while, and you just can't be doing that while your playing in the SEC. That's why his stats aren't as good as they could have been.

If he has Zach's forehead he will be 6'7"

Thats also why hes going to the NFL and not sitting in the hospital trying to rehab and hoping to recover and sometime get back to 100% all over again

Completely different build, athleticism, hands, etc. I don't see how he's like Marvin Harrison at all.

If not for Hunter's big freshman campaign, he would still be playing on Saturdays. I was unimpressed with his performance this season. I am pretty sure he didnt have a TD catch in all but one or two SEC games.

No they don't. Anquan Boldin doesn't lay down. Wes Welker doesn't avoid contact. Hunter played scared last season.

Laid down?? He may have dropped some balls but 73 catches, 1083 yards and 9 TD is not laying down.

No...but he's no Julio Jones either. I hate to admit it, but Jones is a beast. Hunter is not nearly as strong as Jones which is why he welcomes press coverage. Hunter will have trouble in this area in the NFL.

Well that all sounds like good news to me! Even if Patterson was only with us for one year. No matter what chose to do he was going to be learning a new system anyway. May as well get paid for it.
